Obviously PMD
Just give it an acetone bath and dab some Verdi-Care on it and it will be good as new.
Just remember...the advice you receive on a site is worth every bit of what you paid for it.
I never heard a microscope groan before.
People seem to love coin microscopes...and yet I can't recall a single "error/variety hunter" actually figuring out how to move the images via USB/SD card to their computer. What's the point of having this up close image (of nonsense) and then taking a blurry cell phone pic of the display screen?

I can't think of a hunter who takes cell phone pictures of the display screen ever finding an "error".

Good morning, I am glad I gave everyone a good laugh today.
I am not a collector, but going thru my moms bags/jars of coins and sorting them and came across this one.
Wasn't looking for a price, error, ect just what it was as she also has some foreign coins.
My old eyes cannot see very well and I have to use a loupe and a magnifying glass to see the coin dates.
I bought a cheap coin microscope to use as its easier for me to handle.
I also bought a red book so not as to bother everyone with questions I can find on my own.
If I find anything out of the ordinary I will post, but any other generic questions I won't bother you anymore, or will take to my local coin shop.
Thank you and enjoy your day.
I apologize for my irreverence. I see that you are not goofing around. Steady iPhone shots of both full sides will work. Searching for generic info first is a good idea.
…….almost as an afterthought, it’s a corroded copper “parking lot” Lincoln cent. You could easily add it to a partial roll of 49 cents, and then you’d have a roll of 50. Or…..set it in the tray of a coinstar machine and watch somebody pull it out and ponder it. Who knows, it may end up on the Coinstar finds thread here. •••••••. and Yes we are a bored humor seeking crowd who enjoy post like these. ;-)
yes
You did the thing again. Don't make me post the meme, lol.
And this is a well run over Jefferson Nickel. Also known as a roadkill coin
