Post your best find in a junk silver bag!
With the price of silver climbing so fast that it's pretty much quintupled (j/k ;-) )by the time I start this post to the time I end typing this post, more and more better dates and better grades wind up in bags along with the usual 50's and 60's George's and Frankie-Dee's. What's the best thing you ever found in a "junk" silver bag?
Philately will get you nowhere....

About 6 or 7 years ago a local coin shop had a few zip-lock bags of 90% silver coin, each bag $100 face value. Normally, these were sold by the full bag of $100 only (no picking).
I went in needing some Franklin Half Dollars for a minting project. The shop owner wasn't there but his wife was manning the store. She pulled out the bags and told me I could pick out anything I wanted at 11 times face value (the going rate at the time).
The best find was a 1921-D Walking Liberty Half in Fine (problem-free). One bag of quarters yielded a full dozen 1934-D quarters in UNC. Plus a few 1935-D in UNC as well. There were quite a few other semi-key dimes/quarters/halfs that I picked out.
A slick 1921 SLQ is probably the most valuable coin I've found. All that's left is the space between the 2 and the 1 plus a tiny bit of the top serif. I've also found a 1934 DDO quarter and a cleaned AU 1918-S Merc.
I only have photos of the DDO at the moment

I found a crusty 1932-S Washington Quarter in a bulk bin of silver probably 25 years ago in a small LCS in Albuquerque. The owner/dealer was an older gentleman that I had built up a rapport with as I was just getting back into collecting at the time. I gave him a "heads up" ... and the coin...

I bought a bag of junk silver Mercury dimes at the Boeing Coin Show about 10 years ago. I found an original VG 1921-D that more than paid for the entire bag. Flipped it on eBay for a nice profit.

Bought this raw 40 years ago for $7.95 found in a dealer’s uncirculated silver dollar box. Rediscovered it as a Scarface variety 10 years ago and had it certified.

Not me but a friend found a half eagle amongst a box of foreign coins at an auction.
I found a 1916-D Mercury dime in AG. Another bag yielded a 1937 DDO Quarter in AU. Many years ago, at a small town auction, a Ziploc bag of quarters produced six 1932-D Washingtons that all certified as MS61’s and MS62’s.
