A Funeral Service For The Penny Is Being Held This Weekend At The Lincoln Memorial To Mourn The Discontinued Currency
A group of mourners have organized a funeral service to say a final goodbye to the Penny after the single cent coin has officially been discontinued.
Any mental cases here "that need a life" attending this weekends memorial service in Washington DC? 😂 Come forward and identify yourself. We won't tell anyone! LoL!! 😂 🤣 😉

I did something I never do, I ordered something from China, they had a buy 2 get one free deal.

"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
So this makes next year's issues Zombie Zincolns?

Zombie Lincoln’s…so still zincolns. Got it.
Someone will have to find a way to put a penny on each eye of Lincoln at the service. To properly declare the cent' s passing. ⚰️ A gift to the hereafter. To declare the penny on your (the) eyes.
Does the mint realize that they have ruined the old saying, "he would steal the pennies off a dead man's eyes" when describing cheapskates? I mean of course we would all take nickels, well at least if they were nice Buffalos.
I thought Congress had the power to coin money and regulate the value, not the Executive Branch of our government.
Mourners did not know him as well as they think. He preferred to go by his legal name, the cent.
I'm sure the expression is British, so it still works.
Yeah, that used to drive me nuts because I am a cent collector, but then I started getting boxes of cents from banks and they all said $25 Pennies. I had my break down, and I'm all better now. Merry Christmas.
You can always tell these Chinese fakes now -- no fingerprints.
Yes and no. They can legislate certain things but the Executive Branch is in charge of deciding the number of coins needed for commerce. So, technically, the cent still exists but they are just going to not make any. [Until, of course, the White House changes hands and the new administration decides that turning 4 cents into 1 cent is politically advantageous despite being fiscally absurd. ]
