Looks like by ordering on Amazon I'm going to have to be patient. I wanted to order locally at Barnes and Noble but they could not match Amazon price which was significantly lower. Did I unwittingly involve myself in a catch 22 (no pun intended ) situation by ordering at Amazon? The lady at Barnes and Noble told me that Amazon,the booksellers, sometimes lose money on book sales because they are so agressive with preorders. Oh well. I can wait a bit longer for the Limited Edition copy I ordered and it will be all that much sweeter when I do receive my copy a month or so from now. I'm sure Tom's book will be worth every penny what I'm paying for it and then some.

I received my copies last week and got lucky #66 of the special edition. I'm about halfway through the book getting a review of the minting process and history of the times. Just now getting to the section on the many die pairs.
That said, I will avoid ordering from Whitman at all cost in the future. Lots of disappointment with my order process. I would have save a lot of money ordering from Amazon. Or, I would have much preferred paying up and ordering a signed copy directly from Tom.

Bought a nice specimen of the very rare Die Pair #ZeroA off of Great Collections. This die pair was previously known by only a single, circulated specimen. Here are some pictures that would have been in the book if I had had this coin prior to publication, courtesy of the Great Collections lot illustration.
Diagnostic spike on the foot of the E of WE.
Dimples by the mint mark, believed to be the result of a Philadelphia Mint die being altered to a Denver Mint die.
Previously unnoticed feed finger lines above the NE of ONE.
Have a couple other new purchases coming that will be posted after I get them.

Did not know the hard bound was numbered, seems I have #80 of 250.
I bought one of each (soft cover to read) About half way through. Very enjoyable. You can tell a lot of work went into this.
