It's really a weird story. Why would someone with a 10 grade request a review?!
The card in question is obviously not a 10. The centering (70/30 w/tilt) is way off. Eventually, the buyer will have to sell that card, and potential buyers are going to be very keen on the fact that the card is an 8 or a 9 in a PSA 10 holder, which will make them very unwilling to bid on/buy that card.
I'd not be surprised, given the nature of this hobby, if the original owner or someone close to that person waited for the card to be legitimized as a 10 (re-holdered) and bought the card simply to take advantage of the PSA grade guarantee. This would allow him to collect on the 900k+ auction while getting back the card.
I saw on gemrate Beckett went up 67% this month so far? Employees grading before the door is shut? Thats a big up tick to happen basically the week its sold. Or just pushing everything out?

Probably a big push to get everything out and billed
I'll second that Kudo's to PSA and have some popcorn ready. Will we ever know the true compensation for the Chamberlain card? 250K? Nothing like paying 976K to get back 250K for a card that last sold for 132K in the "new grade". So, who made out? Heritage, it would seem. Not to mention sidebars fueled for old labels vs new labels. Wouldn't Mike Baker be the one who graded or oversaw the initial grading of the Chamberlain in PSA 10?.... Baker Bashers come on out. And we all know it will probably just go away..... big boys with big pockets can make things disappear.

I think the grade guarantee is capped at $500k per person
Hmm, this Chamberlain just the type of thing that could actually spark an actual FTC or Congressional Investigation.
