Pre-order is now available on the Whitman site.

Unfortunately Alaska is the unwanted stepchild and requires additional steps and money to make it all happen. The nice lady on the phone was able to put my name down for one of each version. Expected ship date is December 16.

Just told by Whitman that they expect the books to arrive next. Should be OK to pre-order now.

Normally Whitman organizes a signing session or two at major conventions that an author is going to attend, but they have been very considerate of my physical affliction. I had polio in the early 1950's, and do not travel well anymore.

I preordered a hardback copy off Amazon on November 9. Release is November 30 according to them. Not sure if I'll be getting the Deluxe Edition though. That would be nice.

Just checked my order for Enigmatic 1922 Lincoln cent book on Amazon. They are showing a picture of the professional edition of Tom's book as what I will be receiving. No delivery date given but it's still early.

1922 has been a favorite year of Lincoln cent with me since the early '60s when I was trying to fill my blue Whitman folder with circulation finds. I actually found a nice 1922-D in a roll from the bank in 1962 or 1963! Had an opportunity to buy a 1922 no D from a coin shop (Rocky Mountain Coin on South Broadway) in Denver around 1973 but didn't buy it, a nice XF. Asking price was $100 as I recall. :)

    It had the strong reverse.

Good ol' Die Pair #2 with the strong reverse. I have identified that obverse die in earlier die states where the D gets weaker and weaker, but in those die states the obverse die was paired with a worn down reverse die. With the D and the different reverse it obviously has a different die pair number.

BTW, the disappearance of the mint mark was NOT caused by a die clash!

15% less and free shipping from Amazon. I guess buying the pre-pre order directly from the source isn't always the best deal around. Looks like you found the best deal around.

Great! We love Amazon. When you (pre)order from AMZ it influences their algorithm and they feature the book in more places. Win-Win!

Two copies would do the job at Amazon. But I had already put in an order for two copies of the book, plus a red book and another book to make it worth the $25 shipping charge Whitman charges. It is what it is.

Hope they shipped my copy today. Looking forward to reading Cap's work.

Received mine yesterday from Whitman. They did a very nice job, especially with the photos, I know you pulled from several different sources but the photos have a nice consistency throughout the book.

Got mine yesterday. Quite a good study for me. I have about 60 1922-D's and a few 1922 plains to ID. I hope I can ID them all-Due to the great content of this book, it may take me some time just to ID one of them. I have no previous education on this.
