Mine still on backorder....ordered in the first 3 minutes.
I called the Mint and ask the nice lady why others have shipped and mine is still on backorder.
The nice Mint Customer Service rep told me none had shipped; said they were all still backordered.
She said mid-December at the earliest.....I said thank you and hung up.......

It's a keepsake for my Grandson to express his lineage from his Great grandfather, His Great Uncle, his Grandfather And his Step Grandmother and that for a good part of the 250 years it represents, his family was part of it.
Bullion or not.😁

I don't seem to understand the rhyme or reason for this still being on backorder.
Order Placed: 11/10/25
Order Number: USM204650##
Some people think it's logistically trivial to manufacture, package, order process, and mail tens of thousands of orders. It is not.
To some degree, but they can do it and have done it. Then take a look at Dan's post above yours, he just received his, Order Number: USM206471xx, today.
Compare that to my orders USM2048xxxx, made within the first 15 minutes of sales, and mine are still on back order.

100.000 in a month does seem quite trivial. Especially considering the $13.00 shipping. But to have it on backorder, After a month.
Lest we forget it's the Marine Privy recognizing 250 years of deploying anywhere in the world in 24 hours.
I'm writing the Commandant...
That is not the only item they are making or selling.
They are certainly not the most efficient logistics operation on the planet. But they do manufacture and ship many hundreds of thousands of coins in a month. Just not the one you wanted.

Don't get me started on the post office, mine shipped on the 2nd and and has been sitting at there Indianapolis distribution center since the 4th. Was to arrive today, that's not going to happen.

Unrelated to this coin but I have been waiting on a registered mail package from California since 12/1. The package sat in Chicago (412 miles to the west) for 4 days and I finally just got an update that it has been processed at Jamaica, NY (Queens); ((403 miles to the east)). I live near Pittsburgh, Pa. Hope to finally have it sometime in the new year. I am sure it came right down I80, I would have been more than willing to meet them at the halfway. RGDS!
P.S. My USMC GEM is still backorder. SMH!

Yes and I got mine last week, I won the shipping lottery. Just because things have gone perfectly before doesn't mean they go perfectly every time. People who so easily dismiss the production, sale, and delivery of this size regardless of how well (or not) they've performed in the past has no appreciation for the what it takes to make the whole operation come together.
One of mine is still backordered. One is lost in the usps world. One was delivered late today with a damaged box 😩 Haven’t opened it yet to check the coin as I’m reselling to someone that wants a sealed box.
I wasn’t able to get one of these on day of release. Are they still being sold by the Mint? Any being released at 7:30am? Trying to figure out if I should bother checking (4:30 am on the left coast 😫) or just buy one in the aftermarket.

If you're not too picky, there should be some trickling back into Mint inventory at 7:30 ET in the next couple of weeks. But be quick about it at checkout.
They might look great right out of the clamshell - like mine does ⇊
.
.
But if you're looking to get a 70 grade on the "cheap" by submitting yourself, check the coin closely, as I did.
The "dust" on the capsule on my example ⇊ is not what it seems.
It is a planchet flaw of sorts, or a debris strikethrough - such as frost/flakes struck/fused onto the coin.
At best it would grade at PR69 DCAM at a TPG.
Happy shopping!
.
I called in this afternoon to try to see what in the world was going on. She said this coin is on backorder until Mid-December or early January. I mentioned that many people have already received theirs and she proceeded to tell me no they have not. Looks like the mint has become yet another casualty of our growing list of failed institutions. RGDS!

those phone reps are employees of a contractor. they are often clueless and are in a different location from the shipper. for the most part neither of them talk to each other
that phone rep is just saying what does a cya for the mint while being too ignorant to the reality in their face

The mint was supposed to start shipping mid December so we should be ok. They will run packing slips tomorrow and shipping notices will go out. We will see how many get lucky. We will be at the deadline for USPS shipments to arrive by Christmas so keep your fingers crossed

At USPS already expected delivery Monday. Prior coins shipped Tuesday were here Friday. We shall see.
Hope it's not like our snow forecast Sunday. Forecast 2 to 4 inches. We got 7 inches +

Nice, not worried about Christmas, just didn't want someone else's junk. For some reason I thought these have been shipping as to why I was backordered. Like I said, that would be weird as I got mine by 12:05

after the first two, i don't see how any of these orders can say backordered

It’s not actually, it’s a premium proof. The mint bullion version is uncirculated with no privy with a much higher mintage.
That's why I only pay melt for 1916-D Mercs. For you, I'll pay a 10% premium if you have one to sell.

Spoiled big boys got theirs in advance, then whined because not all graded 70. So they complained to the mint director who put the rest of us on hold.
Regular roll edition silver eagles now up to $80 at the bullion dealers. That still makes even a MS69 privy coin look reasonable.
Yah, weird I just checked = backordered. I got my order in within the first 5 minutes.. How is that even possible to be backordered?
