    No cam on this one. I don't think that fingerprint will come off.

    1959 is a tough date to find in CAM, which Sanction does a lot of hunting for.

    One consideration is that clear ammonia bath with liberal water irrigation afterwards may be able to pull a bit of the milky-looking spots. Do try that if you doubt on lesser coins - not miraculous but works fairly well on copper-nickel and silver coins. Mild electrolysis can help but may be a bit intimidating if you don't have experience. PM me if you'd like.

    I think the spots will limit it to PR66(possibly Cam), otherwise very nice looking.
    That "band" behind Franklin's head might be a further issue.

    The flaws shown in the post dip photos (along with the level of the frost on the devices) are much less noticeable in hand that they appear in the photo.

    I do think the coin warrants a CAM, but after further study I think the numerical grade of the coin would be PF66 at best.

    It is an example of a 1959 half dollar that is much better in quality than your run of the mill brilliant 1959 proof half dollar.
