$829 per box of 3.
Glad I'm not a gambler.
Agreed. Too expensive for me this time. Hoping they do future releases with 1 slab.
no stickers?
I wonβt buy until I know how many refractors per box.
Just goes to show that, at the end of the day, it really is all about the Benjamins, and none of the TPGs are really any different from the others, marketing and hype notwithstanding.
They all do business with the TV guys. They all make the bulk of their money today on moderns. And now they all are happy to get involved with things like this. As long as the grade on the slab matches the coin, there really is no reason for one slab to carry a premium over another.
Anything but fix their problems. Lead times. Accounting. Photography.
Trash takes itself out the door.

Kind of a cool idea. That is a well thought-out website and easy to navigate.
I do wonder why there is a limit of two boxes per household?
Costco is a great business (yes, this is relevant
), but I don't like their offerings which have a smattering of this and that (e.g., different kinds of beer in one box); I want to choose exactly what I want.
To me, this new "offering" from VaultBox combines the unattractiveness of Costco's broad offerings (I don't get to choose exactly what I want) with the unattractiveness of gambling.
I have no problem with the concept, since there are lots of gamblers in our society. But I certainly don't see the charm.
these are hot with the gambling crowd. it is to inhibit flipping
Ridiculous waste of money...

It'll only be ironic if the forum members treat VB differently this time.
Odds of this thread getting shut down? Greater or less than zero? π

Dunno. I was slightly critical of PCGS for getting involved, but I don't think in an offensive way. Beyond that, I think most of us, me included, are way past directing any vitriol towards VB, given that by now everyone knows exactly what it is.
As a result, I don't think the lack of 20 pages alternately bashing it and supporting it can be attributed to deference to our hosts. I just think that the argument has been played out, and this thread is nothing more than news regarding the latest iteration, and the participation of PCGS.
I don't think it will go more than a page or two, and don't think it will get shut down. Not less than zero, but pretty close to zero.
So, what you're saying is that there was really no need to bash it in the first place.

No. Try to bait me all you want. It won't work.
What I'm saying is that when it was new, and when everyone did not have a full understanding of what it was, and what it was not, there were things to be said, and there was a passionate back and forth. That time has now passed.
As a result, there is nothing to debate, and no reason for a thread to be shut down. Some folks love it. Others think it is crap. Minds are not going to be changed. There is clearly a demand, and PCGS is now getting in on the action. More news and weather at 11.
EVERYONE always knew exactly what it was. How dumb do you think people are?
I'm not baiting anyone. I am observing that there was never any need to scream about it for a year.

Donβt need a rehash, but I enjoyed the nostalgia.
Best post of the year. Without a close second!
They have a new glossy magazine though.
I donβt think they are concerned with flipping. A number of sellers on Whatnot have no trouble getting their hands on a large multiple more than the HHL (directly from VB I would assume) that they all flip on the release date.
Kalshi is ready for CACG, somebody make a market.
It appears JA has laid down the gauntlet.
Those Bricks were once under the CAC domain, now the wrath of the Sticker of CAC must be imposed.
The pain will be swift and harsh!
Witter bricks are different than vault box. Vault box was NGC. Ultra breaks was PCGS.

If I told you I've been sick for almost three weeks(which is true), would that make up for my ignorance?
Even I'm not buying it.....thanks for setting me straight.
I believe the sellers on WhatNot are the reason VB sells out so quickly every time.
WhatNot is where gamblers hang out. The whole site is designed around mystery bags and the like. Literally. Their billing is done on a per item basis rather than for the entire "auction". When I asked why items could not be combined (it costs 35 cents per transaction), they said it was because billing had to be immediate for mystery bags to prevent people reneging if they "lost".
