Question now is, how many are they gonna actually strike?

As many as they can sell, up to 10K. They have a contractual obligation to do so. Unlike all the other releases, other than the commens, where they have the freedom to set mintages at any number they want below the maximum. When they have partners who get a piece of sales, they don't the authority to do anything to restrict those sales.

10K were available on the day of release. They are now showing far fewer "ATS."

Look for the missing coins to magically appear if the ATS ever makes it all the way down to zero. They are not going to short strike these, for the benefit of those who buy, but to the detriment of their partner, DC Comics.

Not unless they are ready, willing and able to pay royalties on coins they choose not to strike in order to support the secondary market. Not gonna happen.

Based on the sales report above, I'd be willing to bet there are around 3K sitting around just waiting to be added to ATS at some random point in the future.

Well, if they say out of 10,000 that’ll kinda lock them in for sure.

2.5 ounce will be numbered also.

Next six super heroes are announced:

    Arriving in 2026

Supergirl—Bravery and grace in every fight.

Robin—Fearless and fiercely loyal, the ultimate sidekick with serious skills.

Green Lantern—A glowing symbol of honor and willpower.

    Arriving in 2027

The Flash—Trailblazing and full of optimism, he’s always a step ahead.

Batgirl—Strategic. Resourceful. Always one move ahead.

Aquaman—Bold. Noble. A true king of courage beneath the waves.

They will be lucky to sell a thousand of the last coins by the time this program ends. Overdone and overpriced series. The Mint has officially jumped the shark.

considering how much of a premium these are to spot. the USM or DC should have someone "wet sign" every COA.

    10,000?

does anyone think all of these will be sold?????

Yes. It is the finest known.

…it took long enough. And here I was lead to believe Superman was “faster than a speeding bullet”.
That was the longest wait for an ordered item from the U.S. mint in my 70 plus years.

Here is the latest sales figures for the comic coins and medals.

    superman gold ats 257
    batman gold ats 2666
    wonderwoman gold 8370

So this may mean the superman was not struck to 10k, but 6300. Batman gold was struck to 4800. Wonderwoman may not yet be struck, so they have 10k for now until inventory shows final amount.

  • I sat in the waiting room on release day and got my order in at noon, hoping for a low certificate number. I got number 5868. And they've only sold 5963.

There were well over 6000 coins sitting on the shelf on shipping day.

The first confirmed order in does not guarantee that the first COA is going out with said order. It just doesn’t work that way.

  • Reading through the posts does spot price really have anything to do with the coins? Say the silver, the coins are priced high so spot price should have nothing to do with pricing, who's going to melt these coins for the silver spot price. I don't get the adding price to these modern coins because right now silver is high. I think they are issued at to high a price.

Think the price for the silver medals is high now? Just wait until Jan when the new pricing for all silver products comes out!
Buy now before prices go up.

Yes. Because, in all likelihood, they are only worth the melt value no matter what you paid for them. So while you don't buy them to melt them, 5 years from now, when you need the money or are tired of the coin, that's likely what it will sell for.

Now, that's not a reason not to buy them. If you like them and want to own them, pay the price. You don't buy a Gutenberg Bible because of the price for recycled paper. But for people who aren't terribly interested in them, they are going to talk about them as bullion even now
