Downgrade crosses and a tale of two Trueviews
First the good. A nice glamour shot to bring out the colors. About the amount of improvement I’d expect from the advantage of imaging the coin raw. You can see the Stacks in holder catalog image in the background - pretty similar.

And then the bad and ugly all wrapped up in one. Heritage did a better job on the colors through the NGC plastic - which is no small feat

Here is some excellent customer service - I just received a PM from PCGS with a link to the color shot on the 1879.
That’s much better!
@PhilArnold is definitely a lost asset to our host.

Nothing in the post by @oih82w8 leads me to think he didn’t already know that.

Does PCGS really send you a PM here when your submission is acted upon? Or is it still by email?
I don’t know. Legend did my submissions. PCGS Social saw this thread and reached out by PM offering the other version. AND switched out True Views on another coin that was submitted months ago as well
PCGS reaches out to me in PMs , on occasion. They must like us.

Maybe @pcgs_social can help @skier07 with his TV. Or maybe I misunderstand and he just has an awesome mule😂

Nice coins BTW. So the one in your hand is the true look and color of the coin?
At that straight on angle. All classic silver proofs tend to have a color angle and a drab angle unless they’re blast white. Just the way it is.
Thank you is that a small fingerprint near the date or is that just the toning pattern?
This is the other image that they switched out. Honestly, neither do the coin justice. New, old and some other comparisons
My mistake, I misread it to be he was an current asset. Doh!
I always wondered did they have different versions of TrueView's.
