Sad. Very Sad.
COPPER is gutter !

that's a heck of a lot of money
Ugh. Grifters and thieves are everywhere, and now they have the internet to ply their trade. I wish people would first do their diligence and locate a trusted source(s).
Not to blame the buyer solely, but at what point does common sense kick in and question why these are listed cheap?
Successful BST transactions- Bfjohnson, Collectorcoins, 1peter223, Shrub68, Byers, Greencopper, Coinlieutenant, Coinhunter4, SurfinxHI, ProfLiz
The consistent "look" of the coins should have been a red flag at some point. Who has that many Morgans in nearly exact same condition? Feel sad for the buyer.
indeed, how very sad it is
$h!t like this makes my soul hurt... I hope the buyer can recoup at least some of his money, but I'm sure it's a lost cause...
Successful BST transactions with: SilverEagles92; Ahrensdad; Smitty; GregHansen; Lablade; Mercury10c; copperflopper; whatsup; KISHU1; scrapman1077, crispy, canadanz, smallchange, robkool, Mission16, ranshdow, ibzman350, Fallguy, Collectorcoins, SurfinxHI, jwitten, Walkerguy21D, dsessom.
I put together a kit to test coins.
It has a magnet slide, a scale, a ping tester, loupes, all cheap items. This buyer just trusted eBay?
It's a buyer beware world, why would you not test items you buy... especially with how common fakes are
Llamas and alpacas are camels. They aren't like camels, or related. They are camels. When was anyone going to tell me this?! How long had Bill Nye been holding out on us?
I recently sold a couple circulated CC Morgans on eBay and while doing price research was shocked by the number of listings for BU Morgans dollars that were clearly counterfiet. I reported a couple for being counterfiet but as expected eBay responded that the listings were fine

Returns and problem feedback are imperative with dishonest sellers.
Magnet, scale, and my FAVORITE the ping test are all mandatory. Ughh
COPPER is gutter !

How very sad.
Well some people shouldn't buy what they don't know about or want to learn about.
Some lessons are learned the hard way.
zz zzz
A LOT of people think they are clever and don't need to pay retail prices or use major auction houses or dealers.
Guy came into a local BM to ask about an AGE he had just bought. Dealer weighed it: 0.75 oz. LMAO. The guy bought it on a parking lot from a FB ad. He does it all the time, he told us, but said he saved money by avoiding dealers. The irony is that he needed the dealer to authenticate and you have to wonder how many fakes he had at home. I don't have as much sympathy as I probably should.

Sad, but even from the photos I can tell its fake
I've had people like this for many years. I don't feel sorry for them. They come in with this garbage, then when they're found out, they play the victim card. They know full well these things are no better than game counters. This is the 21st century.
To be fair, they don't always know. However, they could learn but sometimes either greed or ignorance get in the way.

Did the buyer complete a set?
This reminds me of a coin club member who just didn't learn. This was back in about 1990. At many meetings he would bring in his new gold coin purchase from a local flea market. Every coin was a 1970s/80s era counterfeit. He was advised of what he was buying but just couldn't resist the "good deals" he was getting.
While he is long since deceased, it is interesting to note that the gold counterfeits of that era were nearly all of full gold weight and fineness. If he just had the bullion value today he would have made out well.
At a glance.
If you are going to buy raw, you need to sell some before spending serious money. Especially if you like to buy problem coins and do not know it.
I would hate to have been there when he realized they were fake.
When you see silver eagles with a BN price of $4.50 on eBay and it's from China, run away fast.

He seemed sincerely surprised versus others whose reaction points to them knowing and hoping to recover anything in a sale. Go Redfeather!
