Why does ‘being imaged’ come after ‘encapsulation’? Don’t they image them raw?

    The "Being Imaged" seems to come at inconsistent times. I suspect it requires a human to press a "Being Imaged" button, likely when the images are in post processing rather than when the picture is being taken.

    And the timeline is likely extra wonky in this case because this is a Walkthrough order so the coins are in QA before the (supposed) button can be pressed.

    I wonder if anyone can enlighten us as to what actually happens in PCGS QA?
