Got our hands dirty today!
Every five years or so, my wife and I empty our coin box, roll them up, and then swap them for currency at our bank, splitting the proceeds. This year's haul totaled $189.50, plus a '42-P wheat cent and a '44-P silver nickel, both of which I gave to the bank's teller explaining their significance.
- The coin box is from Korea, my wife's native country. She said it's specifically designed to hold coins.

I keep debating whether I want to do that endeavor also. We have a 5 gal jug that is at least 1/3 full. No pennies in that jug. Sacs, sba's, kennedys, qtrs, dimes and nickels. I had checked all coins over the years before going in. Lol Man, that's a lot of rolling. Lol

Always lift those glass jugs full of change from the bottom! I had about $400 in loose change in one, picked it up by the ring handle on top, the bottom then sheared cleanly off on a seam from the weight and dropped out, had shattered glass and change everywhere… ugh, lucky it didn’t break my foot!
Other passions include golf, Moto Guzzi motorcycles, and Euro motorcycles in general.

I wouldn't delay dumping the pennies in except perhaps to check them again.

Interestingly, my wife was at Chick-fil-A, ordering food and was told they no longer accept cent coins. Also said they are rounding down transactions.

My local bank takes loose coins. But I don't take them. Even though I check them all before being dropped in, I just can't do it!

Ever since my glass water bottle bottom fell out, I now put my change in a Dunkin coffee container, then take it ever few months to redeem.

When I was much younger I rented an apartment. In a lousy part of town but the place was nice.

My credit union lets members put them in the sorting machine for free. Saves me lots of rolling effort and I get to search more coins that way!

Last time I did that, my bank told me not to wrap them because they would have to unwrap them and put them in a coin counter.

We changed to a plastic water jug...it just didn't feel as satisfying to look at.

Found out they don't take rolled coins but have a coin counter in the lobby. Dump'em in and it dishes out a ticket to take to teller. I'm curious if these counting machines can distinguish between, Sacs, Sba's, prez dollors and kennedy halves.
