Peru 1808 1 real Fernando VII

I got this piece a few years ago. I collecting the bust type of colonies. In China, we call this type of the bust as “the onion head”. It seems 1 real of 1808 Peru is quite rare. Do you guys have any idea about the mintage ? Thanks.

We call it the “imagined bust.” It appears that your coin is fairly scarce. I couldn’t find mintage information, but in perusing the NGC census there’s only one certified (that’s not strange, I would assume most of these are low grade and don’t get submitted.) I assume yours is the one in the census, a VF details coin.
Great coin to have!
I'm BACK!!! Used to be Billet7 on the old forum.
Very tough year of the Indian bust type... generally all of the 1808 minors of this type are pretty rare. Won't find a 1R with much stronger detail.
I like it!
Dog Face, Rat Nose, Onion Head is a new one….

No idea about mintage, but the number of examples extant seems to be very small.
1 real 1808 Busto Indigena, or Busto Imaginario, as it is known in Peru, is scarcer than the 1/2 Real.
1808 seems to be scarcer that 1810 or 1811. I have seen pics of about 4-5.
