What's "interesting" about these gambling websites. I've never seen pre-game Cash Out where they offer ya more money because the odds changed in the bettor's favor. However they gladly offer ya less money when the odds change against the bettor.

Sometimes if not often they offer ya less money for pre-game Cash Out, even when the odds didn't change at all. 😒

It's a classic "If you get cold feet there is an option to get out"

Yes, and you're gonna pay for that cold feet.

ML parlay - Notre Dame, Indiana, Texas A&M

Passing, rushing, and receiving props, too numerous to mention. Been hitting these player props like wild fire the past week. Probably means the rain storm is coming. LOL

Be thankful I didn't touch ND today lol

My college betting has been horrible this season

Nah, you're a dam good handicapper. I'd trust your analysis any time. Running hot or cold is all part of the game, as we know.

I've been hot as yell lately with the props. I fully don't expect that to continue. LOL

Well basically already caught the ND and Indiana games. Some of the props have already hit, and all of them look like they're gonna hit with no problem. including the Aggies props.

But the Aggies are systematically destroying my parlay. And my ML bet on them. I bring it up because I've got a big executive decision to make at halftime regarding the Aggies. Do I cut my losses, or bet more on them, and try to recoup those losses? Hard to believe that SC is going to beat them by 27 points.

The tough call is the Aggies QB has two stinking picks, and he's gonna be pressing after halftime. Meaning more picks? But if he can get in any sort of rhythm, that halftime margin should be reduced meaning an easy win on the current live spread. But sure would hate to hemorrhage more money on a QB that may have been out last night partying too hard.

I just looked at the live spread. It's SC -14.5. Dam those bookie computers just rarely seem to miss anything. They know the Aggies will close that gap, but I'd have to give-up 12.5 points. That's not very palatable with a cold QB, however his passing yardage for the day isn't bad. So I'll have to think about it. 🤔

  • stevekstevek Posts: 30,990 ✭✭✭✭✭

Well I couldn't resist - I popped the Aggies again - the spread.

When I just posted I hadn't seen Galaxy's big wager on SC.

I wouldn't mind at all losing my meager bet to see him win it. I'm still in the plus column even losing my Aggies play.

SC needs to grind the clock down on their next possession and get some points

    Seriously

Ok let's all pull together and hope SC can get in range for a game winning FG while the clock gets to zero

it has been a stupendous day. June-like weather in November here in Texas -- we touched 90 today. that means rays & vitamin d. the only thing i can think of that could have possibly altered it is if i had done something like bet $900 on a team that was up 27 points at half, then they got outscored by 28 in the 2nd. i can sorta see how that might have adversely affected an otherwise glorious day just a smidgen. glad that didn't happen.

in all seriousness, i've had 25$ bets that upset me more than that one. i was on the golf course about to launch one off of #1 tee when i saw the halftime score. i stuck in my bet and kept the game up as i played. i basically told myself that all South Carolina had to do is avoid what A&M did in the first half -- and that's absolutely nothing right. just something positive. a stop. force a turnover. score a damn point. anything. the Aggies blew down the field and housed one to start the 2nd, which is kinda what i expected. then the Gamecocksuckers mounted a drive and got into field goal range. on third and short they got stuffed. a part of me was hoping they'd go for the points. a FG there and they're up 23, which probably means 4 scores unless the Aggies connect on 2-pt conversions. nah, let's go for it. nah, let's get stuffed on 4th down and give A&M the ball.

it was at that point i knew i had lost that bet, and i turned off my phone. just imagine -- you drop a bomb on a team up 27 at half and only need them to win, and with 7 & change left in the 3rd you knew you had just vaporized 9 benjamins. that's the feeling that overwhelmed me. kinda funny, actually. and that's why it was so easy for me to stomach the loss. i was able to wash my hands of it and go about my round. if i had watched that game to the end, i might have shaved a few years off my life.

Not that this will make you feel. better but speaking from experience I cost myself an absurd amount of money last December

Sunday night football Pittsburgh vs Baltimore, I'm shattered and have $2100 in my draft kings account that my buddy won earlier in the day so it's not MY money

I'm at the casino, and never do I get cell reception to log in my DK account, like never and I'm. watching the game and Russell Wilson has like 245 yards passing and it's the end of the 4th quarter, miraculously I was able to log into my DK account just to take a peek, I see some stupid odds for Wilson to get 275 yards passing, Pittsburgh was down 10 points or something so I'm thinking that Wilson will be throwing and should easily get the 275 yards since it was a comercial break and the 4th quarter was about to begin and Pittsburgh was getting the ball

Well I put my buddy's $2100 on that prop. bet, to win $200

I'm thinking free money I'll rip. it

A quick interception by Wilson and a 9.minute Baltimore drive, Wilson gets the ball. back with like 2:40 left to go

    Hand Off
    Hand Off
Some ridiculous pass that missed by a mile
    Punt

I lose $2100 just like that

    You'll rebound brother, hang tough

    heard this stat tonight:

since 2004, SEC teams were a combined 0-286 when trailing by 27 points

i guess when you take that into consideration, not a terrible bet by me. all i had to do was dodge something that had never happened before in ~300 attempts

if the Lions can avoid losing by 24 or more points, i'll win my 10-team, 21-pointer for the 2nd consecutive week

Of course, ya never can tell, but I'll be surprised if this is a high scoring game.

I played some Eagles props, but on the low side.

    Hurts +150
    Barkley +50

Homer play rather than smart handicapping, I admit it. LOL

Also wouldn't be any great surprise if the Lions win this game.

I think you've got a solid parlay there. In any event, that's the way to do it. Try to get back that 9 dollars gradually rather than tilt and it could get a lot worse.

I think I've told this story before. A guy I knew from the track, had a low paying type job, lost 30k to a bookie in one weekend on tilt, doubling up, tripling up, etc, trying to get even. Fortunately it wasn't a connected book and the book cut him some slack and set-up a payment plan. But last time I saw him he was still trying to pay that back for at least around a few years.

yep, staying disciplined is essential. easier said than done. i came very, very close to parlaying Miami/GB/Baltimore/KC, but after much thought i decided to take the points via a teaser instead (and a smaller payout as a result)

that was ultimately the difference between me winning and losing with those teams, because the Chiefs would have sunk me

gl with your bets......Eagles look solid thus far

Considering the abysmal performance from Shedeur Sanders, it'll be interesting to see how this line moves.

    I already got mine in.

    Raiders -3

Stealing money or sucker bet? Sometimes a team will step up and play much better than they usually do in a situation such as this for one or two games, until the adrenaline subsides. I'm calling it Shedeur seems so bad, it may not matter. We shall see.

    OKC ML

Chicken feed money but why not take it?

One thing I've learned in a situation such as this, is starting player props can be dangerous because the starters either come out of the game early or their play time gets reduced. I may look for some second team OKC props if any value there.

I lost around $200 yesterday, it would have been more if I didn't cashout on these 2 bets

I shoved it right in Draft Rear end yesterday when they offered these cash outs, I needed Baker Mayfield to get 175 passing and wasn't feeling it and it was a good decision since he finished at 173

The other one I cashed before the Eagles vs Detroit game because I don't fully trust Hurts to throw for 150.yards and that's what I needed, it was a good decision since he threw for 135

Crappy day yesterday but got out of it only losing around $200

Hurts stung me to with that 135. Dam he had plenty of chances to get there. Just couldn't get it done. 😒

I think this is the only prop I've ever lost on Hurts, so I guess I shouldn't complain too much.

Some pretty decent cash-out value there. 👍

    Raiders-Browns, the November 23rd game.

Little bit interesting. Both FD and DK took down the November 23rd Raiders-Browns game. I double and tripled checked it. I mean it was up earlier today, Raiders -3. The ESPN sports site also currently has no line on it, and they also had it Raiders -3 earlier today.

Did some whales pound the Raiders? Perhaps the books are reassessing that line?
