The card just sold on EBAY for $820 which seems like a lot for this card. I wonder if this is an anomaly as there's one currently for sale for $600 and the last couple sold for around $500. The card currently for sale is not well centered.

This is a very tough card to find in PSA 9 ( only 66 9's and two 10's). There are a lot of hall of famers from this set that have less than 100 graded in PSA 9 condition. A very tough set to find MINT and centered cards.

1979 Topps Baseball was manufactured for the specific purpose of causing people with OCD to experience episodes. Good looking 9.

That's a nice looking Pops card. Beautifully centered which is tough for that card and for that set in general.

I remember when that card was a pop 6 in PSA 9 when I was doing a Stargell set. The one the op posted a pic of is the best looking example I’ve seen.

a smidgen off l/r at the bottom (more space to the right than the left of the Pirates pennant), but still a dandy looking card

The bottom of the pennant NEVER looks parallel to the bottom edge of the card unless the card is cut funny, and then something else looks bad.

I agree. 1979's never look centered to me. They always look tilted even in PSA 9 or 10. This is a great card of Pops from his MVP and World Series "We are Family" year.
