Placed a few coins on my window sill in the office several years ago.
This is one of the silver coins I made with Dan Carr several years ago - developing some very nice toning! It's in a white 2x2 envelope.

Hmmm... I can take a photo of my can of acetone that's sitting on a window sill, but I don't think that's what you're after.
No, you are correct!
One of my first forum posts here was about this coin. I left it raw on a sunny window sill for over a year.

so, any particular condition, or just raw??
Why don't you flip them over now and then and try for even toning on both sides?
Does flipping matter if in an envelope??
I left this in a generic brown napkin in an area the sunlight routinely would touch. After a year or so I flipped it to the other side.
U.S. Type Set
I am trying a silver eagle now.
Im curious how they would grade. Do you think they would go NT or AT?
