Who's going?
I'll be there set up & playing dealer for the weekend with a friend and fellow forum member...
It's a great annual show put on by my local coin club and always has a strong selection of unique coins & west coast dealers!
New location this year right near the Oregon/Washington border... Hoping some of my Seattle friends on here make the trip. ![]()

I’ll be there set up as well!
Looking forward to a good show.
I’m on the other coast but I did go to Reed College in Portland in 1993. Beautiful place back then. Wouldnt mind seeing multnoma falls again or the Deschutes River…or a coin show. Maybe some day.
I'll be there!
Proud follower of Christ!
As much as I hate to Hi-Jack my own thread, I just got back from 4 days fishing, floating and camping the banks of the Deschutes. 47 river miles total... lot's of big wild trout and even landed my first native steelhead.

The fishing sound just as fun by the looks of it 😉
Here ya go
Nice!
That sounds like a great trip. As I recall, if you miss the last takeout in that River you go over a 20 foot waterfall !
Yes sir!

Within the past 2 years a gentleman slipped from on top while walking the trail and fell to his death.
Good show, lots of the usual players, a few new ones. The error coin exhibition was super fun, and the local to the PNW tokens were cool too.
I only transacted with one vendor - west coast coins, I think I do every year with Revick and company - this year I traded a Merc dime proof I upgraded for a new to me 1902-S Morgan in MS-63 - I don't think I have a reason to go back again tomorrow unless I find some cash in the couch tonight.

I had a great time on day one! Lot's of interesting collectors to talk with and a bunch of local dealers I enjoy catching up with. I'm neighbors with @2windy2fish and he's as cool as they get.

Hope to see some folks tomorrow!

bad you posted this yesterday and not earlier, I would have attended if I knew
@Meltdown 👍Truly enjoyed hanging with you guys today! It’s always fascinating to me how the interactions between coin folks transpire…i think you guys learned some new/different/ interesting things from me and i know i learned a bunch from you two! A wild bourse for all of us…!
Thanks for the memory!
Looks like a good crowd.
I set up for it. I like the location a lot. The room was the right size and probably could accommodate about 50 more tables if it grows. Good lighting. And that the floor had thick carpeting was very welcomed. Standing and walking on the typical concrete bourse floor for days can be hard on backs, knees, ...
Setup was late on Friday: 6-8pm. I was beat; so I just set up and shutdown after a single sale. Saturday was great. The retail crowd packed the place and was strong even after 4pm. Lots of sales and quality conversations. Today, Sunday, was much lighter, but respectable. Pretty much what I expect from that class if a show on the first public day. I stayed until about 3:30pm, with a 4pm closing, so I could comfortably get a cab to the airport. (On the plane now.)
With the sales tax ax hanging over the Tukwila show, which I also like, I suggested it move to this venue. The only negative I might identify with the location is the scarcity of decent restaurants on Hayden Island. Lots of fast food, if you dig that. But the Tukwila location is pretty isolated from restaurants and even hotels, requiring a car if you do that one.
All in all, I was pleased to have done the show. Unlike most shows I set up at, I k new only a couple other dealers: the West Coast Coins crew and Jeff Shevlin (the So-Called dude). A few others mostly to see now and then though.
I didn't buy anything at the show. I was offered an 1889-CC Morgan in ANACS AU53 Details. I gave my offer for it, but the guy wanted to shop it around the bourse, never a bad idea. He returned with it raw. Another dealer told him that it was the wrong plastic and that he should crack it out. I wouldn't buy it then. (I have customers who don't see ANACS slabs as kryptonite and I am tired of the grading game myself.) Advised him to submit it to CAC and maybe send it to Great Collections afterward. It occurred to me that GC might have accepted it raw and walked it up the street to PCGS before auctioning. Teletrade used to do that. Wouldn't surprise me if GC also might.
It was a fun weekend for me. I do the show once a year and just "play dealer". There was a lot of regular folks looking for coins and I had really strong sales with a lot of good conversations... learned quite a bit about the whatnot live auction craze. The volume those nutjobs need to keep feeding the beast is insane! I sold over $2500 to just two guys walking around buying up alll kinds of stuff...
Here's a couple quick shots from Saturday.

And... finally sitting on the couch looking at a few of my buys from the weekend with my lazy ol' dog.

I think the Willamette Coin Club has found a new home for its annual show.
Considering that this is off the first exit upon entering Oregon from Washington is a big plus for WA dealers, too.
Looks like a very nice venue and a good crowd.
