Or just a common delamination??
Found a roll of 1963-P nickels in my bathroom drawer - not sure why they were saved. Went through them last week looking for full steps - not a one in the roll.

Almost looks like someone spilled some wax on it…🤔
Or glue....
You can see the edge where there is a layer missing.
I've not seen many laminations in Jeffersons. WT nix, yes, but not regular issues.
That one is drastic enough to keep.
Interesting
I wonder if the spelling error was done intentionally??
Not a lamination – as mentioned probably glue or something similar.
The photo isn’t the best with its lighting, but it doesn’t look like it was struck through plastic or something else either.
Bathroom drawer? Is that the result of 62 years of caustic corrosive reaction to gasses emitted from in and around the,,, Throne?
Interesting? yes.
Keeper? yes.
Value? no idea.
What have you been doing in your bathroom?

Struck thru...one ply or two, anybody's guess.
