    Did @STONE, or one of the young (at the time) sharpies, cherry pick one about ~15 years ago? I recall an old thread about this variety, but the details are very hazy.

    You should have edited your other thread instead of starting a very similar one. On your first post on the upper right is an edit function which allows you to delete or add stuff to make more specific.

    I know others that found 1829 Curl Base 2s in dealer's booths and Ebay. If you are committed to look hard and long enough, then you can find one or two.....

    Winston is awesome! Probably the story you’re talking about is an April fools joke he pulled, it was epic! But yes, he did land a curl base 2 at one point.
