JUST AN ORDINARY DAY HERE IN ALASKA

Capping off yesterday's capturing on video from my office a pair of F-22 Raptor Fighter Jets flying in tandem, only to be followed by a Mt. McKinley revealing sunset and then this morning's cosmic orange sunrise - while on an early morning errand I came face-to-face with this majestic moose:

TRAVELERS WELCOMED TO EGYPT'S NUBIAN VILLAGES

JOIN A BOAT RIDE ALONG A SCENIC NILE CHANNEL PASSING PAPYRUS PLANTS AND AFTER VISITING THE VILLAGE WATCH A MASTER CRAFTSMAN REVEAL THE SECRETS OF HOW THE PAPYRUS REEDS ARE MADE INTO PAPYRUS PAPER

In this below linked Playlist ride a motor boat along one of the Nile River's most scenic channels located in West Aswan taking its travelers to the relocated Nubian Villages.

Now Egyptians, the Nubians were once a separate people who lived south of Upper Egypt in lands now covered by the lake that was created when the Aswan High Dam was built in the 1960s. Many were relocated to newly created villages in West Aswan on the shoreline between the Nile River and the Sahara Desert

Following the boat ride through the scenic marshlands along the Nile with Papyrus Reeds seen growing, the Playlist continues with videos showing the villages as they are sandwiched between the Nile and the Desert.

Along the way the Nile's ancient Elephantine Island is seen in a following video with its hieroglyphic rocks visible along the water's edge. Your view of the island was shared by Agatha Christie as she spent the year of 1937 at the Old Cataract Hotel that had been built across from Elephantine Island by Thomas Cook at the end of the prior century. Inspired by the view she wrote there the detective novel "Death on the Nile"

The Playlist continues with a visit to a Nubian Village with its inhabitants welcoming the visiting travelers to their homes.

Coming full circle, the papyrus reeds seen in the first video are shown being used for the making of papyrus paper by a master craftsman.
