While it may not be a secret that $2 bills are rare and valuable, it's not the only currency worth more than its face value. Dimes, America's smallest coin, can be worth some big bucks. Here's a closer look at some of the most valuable dimes and what you should be looking for:

I get $2 bills at my bank, anytime I want. Bundles of 25, crisp and new.
Just say'n not all are rare for sure.

They write a cruddy article and we get to deal with eighteen-thousand folks who believe they have now won the numismatic lottery. Ugh...

Inaccurate click bait. Shame on them.
It's sad that journalism is such a declining industry, but such is the economics of the internet.
I didn't realize the 1914-D Mercury dime was worth thousands of dollars until I read this article.
If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, it expects what never was and never will be.---Thomas Jefferson, 3rd President of the United States of America, 1801-1809. Jefferson was the primary author of the Declaration of Independence.
It's very elusive.
It is? I got 12 DCAM 1914-D’s on Temu and they were only $15 each slabbed and certified by TGC (Temu Grading Company)! I had never seen duplicate slab numbers but all mine are the same! WOW! 🤪
I know some one whos got a 1886 Indian head cent with the Denver mint mark on it 🎅
Really? That's funny if true.
As an aside, I've heard a lot about TEMU lately after showing some of my certified classic commemoratives to the Facebook classic commemoratives group. Every poster, even the administrators there, called every one of them fakes. Several posters claimed they were off TEMU and gave me some "attitude" until I showed them slab photos and certification pages. They were piling on until I linked to the cert. page, and then...silence. That group may be fun to troll in the future.
It would probably be worth more than the 1894 S if you were to find a genuine one.

The writer of the article did fairly well with their report. The proofreader obviously isn’t aware of Coinfacts©️.

Somebody scored this for $4.25 on eBay. I’m rich !!!
Just think if it were a whole dime.

so true, seems most press, msm or whatever you want to call them are so off base on almost everything and anything, in my circles we no longer read, listen or subscribe to anything on any level.
I miss the days of yore.
msn is the purveyor, usa today is the publisher

Why would you even bother to post this obvious garbage here.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
Rich wouldn't take long, agreed
Someone actually got paid to write that garbage article?
The potential upside is that some of us who have a number of $2.00 bills might now be able to sell them for more than face. Let's see, according to web search results those $2.00 bills that I tucked away in 1976 are now worth $11.39 due to inflation etc. Selling for anything less than that means I will take a lose so hopefully there will be a well managed promotion coming out of this article that will help me ou!

this is 2000 dime with error date mint if you look carefully on the date . this is very RARE one to come by
It's articles like this that probably make for slabbed coins like this 1975 no date cleaned AU in a PCGS gold shield holder. You can pick up this beauty for a steal at $2,000.

The elusive 1975 no S dime referenced in the article???

2000 dated dime above has a weak last digit due to minor filled dies’.
This is a very common occurrence, especially for 2000/2001 dimes.
This has no premium - there are many more missing more digits than that one.
