    How was the show? Thought about blasting out there and spend a day but just didn't happen. Making plans for Winter FUN in January though...

    An unusually high percentage of dealers stayed for the last day. This is a COLLECTOR’S show, as opposed to a dealer oriented show.

    It is a twice per year show. May and October.

    I've been attending these shows for many years, spring and fall. I regrettably forgot that it was this past weekend, hoping to secure an 1894 Liberty nickel (one of three au+ I'm lacking). I would agree with VKurt, that of all the shows I've visited over the years (not only PAN) the sales are far greater by collectors. I am also amazed at it's growth over thirty some years. There's a reason PAN is the premier northeast coin show.

    One major reason PAN runs a great collector show is that virtually ALL of the leadership of PAN are collectors with hardly ANY dealers in the management. The focus is western PA collectors, but it draws from all of Pennsylvania west of the greater Philly area. Lancaster, Reading, York and Harrisburg collectors are frequently in good attendance. Central Pennsylvania is among the hottest coin collecting areas in the entire U.S.
