Dear PCGS - difficulty in uploading pictures on the forum

I just went to the test forum to upload a 405KB jpg photo and it failed. I would like to post a thread, like I have done previously, with multiple pics, some small file size like the one tested and some that are TruViews. I know that others have had similar problems and that it happens sporadically. It doesn't seem to be a file size issue. The file name is 1869SLH_CAC_AU53.jpg and so I don't think it is a naming issue.
What can be done?

Same issue! Was looking to start a Halloween theme thread but can’t post pics!
Same, it's hit and miss. What I have noticed though is that if a pic fails, it will always fail after that. Strange.
FYI Others and I have had some success in uploading a screen capture pic/file of a pic that wouldn’t load - for example, a True View photo file that wouldn’t load for me would load as a screen capture of the same file/photo.
It’s not ideal but at least until this issue is truly addressed it seems to work at least in some instances.

FYI - I’ve had some pictures fail to load recently too. What I ended up doing is load the same picture into Photoshop Express and save it as a copy without making any changes and then the copy loads perfectly. I don’t know why though, it just does.

file types? both jpg?
Yes, both are jpegs. I saved the image with no edits and the 2nd one loaded just fine.

Hit and miss on any given day. Failed load one day and same photo loaded fine another day.

Thanks for bringing this up Catbert. I thought it was just me.
Happens to me more often than not - even screen captures.
I gave up on my BST thread the other day, it was so frustrating.
The work around I've found that works consistently is to use the "Image URL" option and link to photos uploaded elsewhere. Annoying and inconvenient but a decent short term option until the issue is fixed.

I have had to edit the photos slightly and try again. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I ever so slightly crop them and resave them to the computer and try again. Very annoying!
Using image load button for Image URL works the best(not 100%) for me copy paste does not work at all. Drag/drop does not work at all and file types does not seem to matter. Happened twice so far today. Hope they find the problem and solve it quickly. Thanks.

I had trouble with a couple but got them to work. First time I took a snapshot of the coin, the snapshot loaded. Didn’t work the second time so I edited the photo making it just a little bit smaller, just removed some of the edge around the coin and it loaded.
I can't upload any memes nor photos to the GTG

For the pictures I posted I had to copy/paste them after sending them to myself in email.
I have the same problem. I could not load up my best toned coins (my Lincoln and 1875 SLH) for the toner thread.

Okay, I admit it. It is I who is sabotaging the PCGS boards so that images don't show up. I am doing it so that folks offer their coins to me directly via PM and give up on the BST. I have been found out!

I'm having similar issues even with pictures I know I've previously uploaded.
I've tried the re-edit and post route with limited success. I'm about to start taking some fresh images with the 100mm macro lens, so I guess I'll see if those work... :-/ ...

I just cropped the picture to a smaller size, saved it, then reloaded it, and it worked.

I'm still having problems uploading.
In my limited experience with having a failed image to load, I have duplicated the image and changed its file name. The two times I needed to do that it worked immediately, which is a good thing since I just uploaded the new PCGS Doily Census as eighteen images and seventeen worked on the first shot.
