Arrived and like so many of the US Mint products I receive, it was less than perfect. Very unhappy but if I return it I will probably not receive a replacement that is any better. Sad that after charging $110 the mint can't produce coins without contact marks!!
Could you please share photos showing where are the imperfections?
I think they are on the coin.

Small marks in production occur randomly on the coin. They are not generally in the same place.

got another one in the cart, but too slow today to get through checkout before they were gone, then I refreshed and got put in the waiting room for 2 minutes

Got a little surprise today. Ordered my Navy ASE like you guys got my order received shortly later got order confirmed. After order I logged out and placed a second order as a guest to a family members address. Got order received and that was it. No order confirmation (got one the last time I did this) that was the end. I tried looking up order with order number email and zip code. There was no record of order. I figured I screwed up and used the credit card for this family members order that was the same they had on file for me and they cancelled the order, I usually used a different card but spaced out. Oh well win some lose some. Checked my credit card and both orders went from pending to posted. Called customer service she told me it was out for delivery. I got tracking and confirmed so both are coming but the one I ordered second was shipped first, first one I ordered shipped two days after one I ordered second. So much for first in first out.
Got mine today with the cheapest shipping. Now, if I decide to send it in do I keep it sealed in the Mint’s shipping box (I prefer to keep the OGP) and mail it to the TPG service like that? As it’s still within the 30 days of release, can I request the First Strike designation without the OGP? Is CACG on the same level as NGC and PCGS for these? Thanks for the replies! Cheers, karl

I think you might need to send it in the sealed box. I believe that the grading service returns the other stuff including the clear capsule. Let the initiated chime in.
FWIW I am keeping mine sealed after it is delivered because it is sold to Fonzi's classifieds.

If you're in the 30-day window, send the coin in by itself and keep the packaging. First you can inspect it before you spend money to grade it. Then there's also less hassle for grading company and makes sure nothing gets lost or happens to the packaging. I do submit mine in the capsules though.

Can anyone actually find out what is going on here? This seems awfully suspicious that so many are available and gone in two seconds…..and it appears to be happening a lot lately. Piss off the little guys enough and they won’t come back….. I finally quit buying proof/unc sets from the mint because they were available so much cheaper everywhere else……and the chance of getting a ‘sleeper’ year set is practically at zero now…..

Looks to me like bots are grabbing them every day, they are being subsequently canceled by the Mint, and then keep reappearing. Wash, rinse, repeat.
Too many each day to be anything other than Mint cancellations. They disappear too quickly each day to be the result of anything other than order bots.
Since there is no HHL in place, the cancellations can't be anything other than the Mint canceling bot orders, because there is no way people are "lucky" enough to be able to grab them, and then unlucky enough to be paying for them with bad credit cards.

Which people? Why do you think literally thousands of coins are magically appearing every day, and disappearing instantly?
Clearly, someone knows something about bots, and the people being shut out certainly seem to care about them. As, apparently, does the Mint. Otherwise, what accounts for all of the coins showing up every day while the weekly cumulative sales figures don't budge?

IF and it’s a big IF approx 3600 available this morning and sucked up by bots they will be cancelled once again.
I don’t believe 3600 were available this morning.

It seems unlikely given that they had already shipped 1st day orders and people are claiming larger and larger ATS. There is no reason why that number would be growing.
This bot paranoia doesn't cut it. If the sale goes through from a bot, would the Mint really go through the digital records looking for bot activity? Could they actually find anything that cloudflare would have missed? The bot simply enters real information for a real buyer.

Exactly. In the end I don't think the mint cares is a machine or person places the order once HHL is lifted.

A bot ‘simply’ entering ‘real information’ in an automated fashion with multiple instances is the whole point of the bot.

You 2 will be glad to know that the ats this fine Sunday morning was a big zero.
Just reporting what is observed on the mint’s demandware.store web page for this coin.
In the future I will try to grab a screen shot, print it out, and shove it you know where.

I'm also still waiting for a reaction to your "bad fiction" characterization of my prognostication regarding the 2K American Liberty High Relief gold coins that took a long and winding road from not being made available to the public at release to being bulk sold to a dealer a few weeks later to being offered with no takers on a dealer-to-dealer network to be finding their way back the Mint website weeks later after dealers had no interest in coins that, by policy and public announcement, were supposed to be offered for sale to the public at release.
