A hopper is a giant bin--it doesn't need to be denomination specific. All you need is a dime to somehow get stuck or otherwise not leave the hopper when it's full of completed dimes, and then the hopper gets used to transport cent blanks where, when emptied, the dime then falls out. Voila, 11 cents.
