    I am very sorry to hear this. He was an underrated player on a very good team.

    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals.     i had forgotten he was only 33 when he retired. If memory serves, he had some foot injuries.

    i always hoped he would be the 4th HOF LFer in a row for the sox.

    he was very good for a number of seasons though. a sweet lefty swing.
