Why oh why would you ever pay over the phone? Understanding that ebay does not allow AMEX, still I wouldn't do that for any reason when going through ebay. Not even sure how ebay even allows that. Unreal.

If I understand correctly, the subject transaction was NOT through eBay.

Ebay doesn't allow it. They went around ebay.

If you think about it, it's really all our fault. The OP would be happily enjoying his CBH if we hadn't all spoiled his fun by telling him it was AT. We all but forced him to cancel the sale.

Yeah does he work for Great Southern or something?
I am putting out a DO NOT DO BIZ bulletin based on this. Not all transactions ARE equal, however, this one is basically criminal hence why the Boerne TX police department are now on board for Great Southern Fail
I think a lot of people would love to see the true nature of these people get taken once and for all

I'm not saying I completely agree with you.

It's hard to tell because of the current forum bug affecting images but that looks like it was done using a debit card, not a credit card. Debit cards notoriously take weeks to remove the hold placed by merchants. Try using one to rent a car or stay at a hotel.
If it's correct that it's a debit card, you really made this entire situation (that you caused in the first place) even worse by not just being patient. I don't blame GSC, I wouldn't want to answer your call either. You seem like a nightmare of a customer.
They won't do it, yet I bet dollar to donuts GSC has a great story to tell about this guy.
Agree with their selling tactics or not, this thread screams there are two (or three) sides to this story.
This is Justin of Great Southern Coins.
We indeed issued the money back on 9/26 and this customer complained when the funds didn't hit his card today. Boo hoo, things take longer these days due to Hurricane's and chargebacks. We had a terrible cold, our COO Bobby is out of town and he expects miracles. We pride ourselves on good customer service and great return policy not when the customer complains every day.
Our coins are original, we have a 30 day money back guarantee now

yes and they have an online sales dept and we did it off eBay and invoice directly. paid over phone. no receipt, just invoice and them taking money off the card!
Then it is NOT an EBay transaction and you are on your own with your credit card company -- bad move unless you have a real good relationship with your CC company on chargebacks.
In my opinion Great Southern is a bunch of slimeballs who are extremely dishonest.
I live in the same state, but on the far East end, and if they wish to sue me for defamation I would welcome it being an attorney who is now emeritus and only takes on interesting things. The discovery process would be very interesting and embarrassing for them.

You were refunded 9/26. Be patient
did you ship the coins at all?
Of course not. The order was cancelled
sigh. i wouldn't call how this started as a crusade, i would call it a panic moment.

what do you mean? i have a chargeback investigation now
AI: Yes, you can initiate a chargeback on a debit card for issues like unauthorized transactions, undelivered goods or services, or receiving defective items, though the process differs from a refund and involves contacting your bank for assistance. You must typically contact the merchant first to try and resolve the issue before contacting your bank to start the formal chargeback process.
If that’s the case, based on what one or two members have posted, it’s not particularly surprising that you haven’t seen the refund yet. You very well might have made unfounded claims and accusations. And not that I expect you to take my advice, but I recommend you not make any additional accusations.
