Why are posted images small, distorted, irregular now?
Starting yesterday afternoon the images took on new shapes. The photos are distorted in many cases making circles into ovals and squares into rectangles. At first I thought it was just me but it is being discussed in the Dan Carr thread.
Any ideas what is causing this? Viewing the photos is no longer possible.

Try going to your browser's tool kit and "clear recent history" / "Temporary Cached Files".
Then refresh the page. That sometimes works for me.PS:
All the images in this thread appear normal to me. I am using FireFox.0 -

I'm having the same problem with distorted images and it's only with the CU-PCGS web sites. All other web sites work fine so the problem is here and not with my computer.

The message boards were down for a little while and when they came back, the images were distorted. I've been wondering what happened myself.

Let me go clear my browser and see if that makes any difference.
Edited to add: Cleared my browser and restarted my computer. The circle on that test pattern is still squashed top towards bottom.

It looks as if the images have been optimized, I assume to load images faster. This should have been tested before rolled out to prod. Instead of setting both the height and width, they should only set the width, this way the images keep their original aspect ratio.

All normal on iPad and iPhone IOS using Safari. Normal with iMac using Safari and Firefox.

If it helps, it looks normal in Firefox, but with Chrome it looks small and hard to see.

Edge seems to allow these glitches far more so than firefox or safari, so some say. Thank you PCGS for your rapid response.

You might try a few more system reboots. If that doesn't work try resetting all your settings or better yet run a couple of system restores and get back to us with the results! Good luck! Leo
