Will This Ad Fool Some People?

I received this "shiny, thick" large postcard in today's mail. While those of us on this forum won't be fooled, do you agree some people, perhaps novices and others, may think this "business" is our host, PCGS?

“Will This Ad Fool Some People?” Probably, but it shouldn’t.
Mark Feld* of Heritage Auctions*Unless otherwise noted, my posts here represent my personal opinions.
Some people might think it’s PCGS, but I really don’t see how the mix up would hurt the recipient. I have my own opinions about companies like that, but don’t really see the additional harm in someone not knowing the difference between them and our hosts.
They might believe some sort of affiliation exists, but if they're in the business of buying and selling coins, rather than slabbing them, then it shouldn't make much if any practical difference. I doubt anyone would accidentally "submit" coins to them thinking they were really PCGS.
The only dangerous form of "confusion" might be if PCG were self-slabbing their own raw coin products, in slabs which would resemble PCGS slabs; if such items then entered the secondary market, people might readily confuse the two.

Apparently I have been awarded the DPOTD twice.
I go the same one last week. It went right in the trash. I have a feeling that a big national coin show sold our addresses we gave at registration.

I get call from guys trying to sell me bullion or Franklin Half dollars. No matter how nasty I am with them over the phone, these guys keep calling me. On the last call, I told them I'm not interested in anything they sell unless they sell Newfoundland half dollars. Nope, so I hung up.
Absolutely! It was most likely designed to. PCGS could probably sue for Trade Dress Infringement.
That’s my point - the design! It appears they’re trying to artificially give THEMSELVES credibility that they have not earned. That’s all.

The people who that ad would fool need to educate themselves before they start buying coins.
Yes but they can probably only buy 1 on credit and cant pay the shipping. So probably wont be a big problem.
The picture on the silver eagle one of a PCGS slab sure does suggest they are somehow affiliated, if that’s what you are referring to.

Mr_Spud
The description does say you will get a pcgs slabbed MS70 eagle...Limt 5 per household.

That’s all true, but I believe the main thing, to me, that makes it look to the uninitiated that they have “credibility” is the PCG, and the words “Professional Coin G…..” and that credibility of PCGS is unearned by this firm at the start.
