Fake Vermont Landscape on eBay

Had an exchange with someone on eBay last night regarding their clearly fake VT Landscape selling at $1250.
They responded in a very polite manner, and asked why I felt it is a fake. It was a good exchange, but I see it’s still listed for sale.
Be careful out there.

I assume that seam indicates that it's an electrotype so it probably has some collector value.

But certainly not $1250.00 IMHO!
It’s not made from genuine dies. In my eyes it’s a novelty item.
With that seam, it may be a cast copy and the seam is where the two halves of the mold meet.
