Welcoming back an old friend

I first bought this coin for an exorbitant amount (at the time) is 2014 or so. I loved the color, OGH, and just the eye appeal in general being 10/10. About 4 years ago I sold it when a very strong offer came in. This week I repurchased it from the person I sold to as he is downsizing along with another wonderfully attractive Brazil 960R.
While certainly a common coin as a type and date, completely uncommon in its appeal.
Any others care to share some old friends that came back around?

This medal was my grandfather's and I inherited it. At some point I needed some money so had to sell it. A couple of years ago I saw it on eBay and without hesitation, bought it back. It had no other merit that it was my grandfather 's so no hesitation to buy it back.
I’m waiting for @Abuelo to get tired of the REPULICA 8R so I can buy it back!
In case you don't know it, here's a pic of @Abuelo's coin (and my old friend).
While it isn't the highest graded (which I believe is an AU50 ex. Clyde Hubbard), it's still an incredibly cool coin and It actually traded hands and circulated before being put away in someone's collection.
The first error coin of the Mexican Republic, and a dramatic one at that!
Well, I'm glad it's in a good collection and will always welcome it back home from grandpa!
Love that!
While not quite the same. I passed on a coin at the 1995 ANA that Mike Bianco was selling. He was getting out of World coins at the time to put everything into US coins. I bought four (4) German coins from him and they were just super. I passed on a real nice 1862 Frankfurt Thaler in an old NGC 67 slab. It had this candy apple green on the obverse. I passed at the time since I thought it was way too much. I thought about that coins for years. Fast forward January 2007 Heritage sale and the coin was in it. I had to have it. I don't even remember how much Mike wanted for it at the time. Still have it plus the others.
