I love that Yaz card too. Have a few and I am trying to sell some cards where I have duplicates but with these I want to keep them all.
Think I also just like 1980 Red Sox cause it was the first year I watched baseball and we visited my Great Aunt in Southern Maine every summer and my parents let me get this Red Sox Yearbook from the IGA Supermarket down the street. This was a nicer copy I found but my beat up one is around here somewhere. The Fred Lynn from that set is one of my favorite too. Rice also.
I love that card as well! That whole set is great. I'm a Yankees fan, but agree with you, the Yaz, Lynn and Rice cards in the 1980 set are all outstanding.
I've got a few cards that are very meaningful to me and I collect them in bulk, just can't seem to stop buying them or let any of them go.
Collecting anything and everything relating to Roger Staubach
I've wanted a signed copy of this card for years. The card is miscut but the autograph is exactly what I was looking for. Thrilled to own this one.
The 1964 Maris was the first "old card" I ever got as a kid. I made a trade with a friend who had been given a box of cards his dad found in an attic he was installing HVAC in to get it. It's still one of my favorite cards of all time. This finishes out my trifecta

Like Foster. He deserved so much more respect than those vile NY Mets fans gave him at tail end of his career.
We didn't respect him because he was a pariah on that team. He refused to hustle. Preferred to see balls go over his head in left field instead of trying to make a tough play. In real life he is a good guy. But there was a real issue on the Mets.
nice card mago. who would have ever thunk that dude would one day become the master of zen. looking like he should be co-starring with John Holmes in that shot.
hard to tell how sharp the corners are, but it's framed up nicely. relatively unscathed edges. i'm sure an incompetent grader at PSA will find a way to give it a deuce.

I could see it in a SGC8 holder, but no hurry to grade if at all. I like how it looks just chillin’ on its own. Phil would probably agree that it’s ok to shake free from what confines us in this world. Thanks. 😉
My July sub is finally done. The highlight of the sub was purchased raw from an online dealer. It was kept raw for a few years. I tried to sell it raw on ebay for $200-$300 since I thought it was in pretty good condition. A few low ball offers, a few strong offer. Finally decided to sub it myself to try my luck..........BINGO!
Nice. Do you mind me asking how much an item like this costs? Also how many cards are in the pack?
Thank you.
There are 18 cards in the 79 cello packs. I paid $185 for the pair. Got them from someone who opened a full box, kept some for themself and then sold off the remaining packs. I’d say they typically go for $90-110 or so.
What I Collect:
PSA HOF Baseball Postwar Rookies Set Registry- (Currently 80.51% Complete)
PSA Pro Football HOF Rookie Players Set Registry- (Currently 19.80% Complete)

A couple pickups this month

Added another mid 50’s centered HOF to my collection, and saved a ton of $$ in the process versus getting an 8.
Nice mid-grade pickup, Keith. Put a diamond on that one!
This card arrived yesterday . Another card from one of my oddball sets . Still nice.

2 for the 61 set:

That is a nice looking Maris signature. With Maris autographs the quality of the signature is the tougher find than the quality of the card it's on.
Picked up a '50 Bowman Johnny Lujack for the Bears collection.

It's the singer not the song - Peter Townshend (1972)
Needed the "white back" version for my '56 team set.

Diggin’ the 56s even if those teams are just the absolute worst. Ha.
The Wilhelm signature is incredible btw.
.,.and this variant for my '54 set

Late 60's and early to mid 70's non-sports
liked it, bought it.
The long hair and youth makes…recognizing the Lakers coach difficult. Nice card!
Thank you sir! 👍🏻

I recently had these CBS Radio cards graded. These are hard to find.

Thanks orioles93.
Graded this for my brother, Dee Fondy being his favorite player. A really nice 2.5.
Another 1% closer to finishing this set.
