Will be there (Select Rarities, tables 223-225). I always like the show, but do variably in the sell side. It is a decent sized show with a good vibe. (Wish the burgers hadn't gone away though.)

I will stop by. I like the show, it's nice to have something close by.

This has been a worthy show for me. Not sure if I'll make this one yet.

This is the first coin show I attended back in 2023. I had just completed a set of MS Peace dollars and was trying to decide what to focus on next. Coincidentally, I had just finished reading David Tripp's book Illegal Tender about the 1933 St Gauden's Double Eagle. It was so much fun at the show trying to find a Double Eagle example I could afford and which also had eye appeal I enjoyed. I found three examples and ended up buying the coin shown below (sorry about poor photo quality).

In addition to spurring my desire to now collect pre-1933 U.S. gold coins, the show had a couple of other interesting side effects. My partner Val generally has only mild curiosity towards my hobbies and interests. But Val enjoyed the show so much, she now has become a sharp hunter for a specific coin when we go to coin shows. Another irony was that it was only a few months after purchasing my 1908 St. Gaudens for $2,720 that gold spot passed $3,000/ounce.

I might mention that on the three sows we have gone to since 2023, we have found 99% of the dealers very sociable. We enjoy talking with them about coins and generally walk away with a new bit of knowledge. And of course, seeing many coins in person provides makes one a much more discriminating buyer.

I will be flying in as usual to see some close dealer friends but mostly because it is always a solid show. I have a small classic token collection waiting for me plus several dealers always have things set back for me at each show. It's a quick Wednesday-Thursday trip as I have a table at another show on Friday-Sunday with a football game stuffed in on Saturday night - a busy (but fun) week.
