My friend gave me this as a gift last year, thanks Kenny!

I remember that day very well!
It’s still hard to believe that happened…
    :(

The slab is like new, it was in this box. It appears to have been released from whoever had these done back in the day… I think these were released in 2003?
    Does anybody know?

Alaska Art from Last Night at the Anchorage Museum

Selected Photos beginning with Sydney Laurence Favorites:

Known for his paintings of Mt. McKinley, below is one of his first two which were concurrently painted after having traveled to the face of the mountain where he spent a summer making sketches. (The other went to the Smithsonian where it remained for over fifty years after reportedly being displayed as part of the Smithsonian Collection at the 1915 Pan-Pacific Exhibition in San Francisico.)

A story also accompanies this Sydney Laurence painting of Mt. McKinley. The one below was a replacement (donated by others) for a similar one that Sydney Laurence had given to the Anchorage High School but which burned up in a fire at the school long after his death.

Below is one of Sydney Laurence's last paintings and it is a view from Anchorage's Spenard neighborhood looking eastward from the intersection of Spenard Road and Fireweed Lane:

For comparison, earlier this year, I traveled to the same Spenard and Fireweed Intersection and photographed the same view as it is seen today as pictured below:

And here is some selected Alaska art from others:

Asheland, I read something a while back about entire monster boxes of ASEs, AGEs and other coins that were stored at the WTC being submitted to PCGS. Some were assigned grades and others, like yours were just authenticated. If I remember correctly, most of these coins were stored in WTC building 7, not the north or south towers.
