I have the coin in hand and it’s definitely a WOW coin - it’s simply in the wrong holder. 25 year old thick ngc plastic is the main drawback that I can see. It’s not as cameo as my current coin [which has a near dcam obverse] but it’s a twin in all other aspects. Can’t decide which of the two I prefer for color. It does look just like the Heritage image and I’m quite pleased.
Yah I’m enjoying building a double set of proofs for my two boys - have two examples for most dates , one colored and one cameo

I’m glad to hear you’re pleased with the coin. And considering that you can’t decide which of the two you like better, color-wise, it’s a really good thing you’re building a double set of Proofs.😉

God comes first in everything I do. I’m dedicated to serving Him with my whole life. Coin collecting is just a hobby—but even in that, I seek to honor Him. ✝️
I'm not batting in the major leagues, but I've certainty been burned "buying the best you can afford."
My philosophy is two fold.
Value. Don't buy a coin because it's expensive, buy it because it has value. Wherever that value comes from...it's different for everyone. Sometimes the value comes because it has a wonderfully original look, sometimes it's toning, others it's a flawless strike, yet others a rare variety. Make sure you value it at least as much as you pay, hopefully moreso. If you do, it's likely that someone else will down the road.
Is it special? Or is it like all the other average Morgan dollars?
If it's special and it has value, it's worth buying. Now ask yourself if you can afford it.

Nailed it. Doesn't even matter if you're on a farm team or the major league, that is the mantra.

Probably the statement should be updated to “collect where you can afford to buy the best quality”
Can’t say that any better. Wonderful synopsis.
Really nice coins. I have one in xf. Totally original I believe.
