Help with 1981 Proof Set T1 vs T2

Looking for some help identifying the Type 1 vs Type 2 in this 1981 Proof Set.

Been a collector for a long time, but never really had any interest or investment in mint/proof sets. Recently purchased a large collection that included dozens of each and came across this 1981 Proof Set. My understanding is that the "S" is the determining factor. Did some research, watched some videos and I can't definitively tell which one this is. Any help is greatly appreciated, please and thank you!

Looks like a type 1 from the photo, but it is tricky without a good closeup.

Hope this helps. The shine of these proofs makes for a rough go of good pics sometimes

    Type 2.
Edit No, looked at them more, it’s Type 1.

Don't some of the S-mintmarks from this era exhibit intermediate characteristics, i.e., 'Type 1.5'? This may be one....

That looks like Type 2 to me. The flat, ball serifs on the S are a close match.

The '70-S sm dt cent does, I believe. A few '79-S type 2's are hard to identify. But if you can't tell with the '81-S you need more light or magnification.

This feels like a type 2. The blow up is a type 2.

1981 type 1's are like a mountain top that comes to a peak
1981 type 2's are like a mountain with a flat top or plateau
