Must be a Dan Carr coin with the three D mintmarks. You can see traces of the host coin on the reverse.

I know, I know, it doesn't count. But it's my favorite nickel in my collection at the moment. But I will say that the buffalo nickel may be my favorite US coin. I plan to get an outstanding example at one point.

The 26 and 29 Buffs have great strikes. Those dates are tough to get fully struck. Nice coins
Thanks! The 26 is a 66 with CAC, and the 29-S is a 65+ with CAC. Strike is something I specifically look for in Buffalo Nickels. Regarding 1929, Philly coins always have a pretty bad strike, S-mint coins can be found like this with an exceptional strike.
Good evening, folks; The nickel below is one of a small group that I just got back from CACG (my first submission to them). For the sake of those who wish to meditate upon the grade; I won't post it, but will refer you to the cert look-up at https://cacgrading.com/lookup. Whit

Here’s my latest acquisition. It’s more green and pink in hand than it is yellow.
