Planchet defect in MS65????

Im looking for opinions on this. I have a nice original, full red ,1909s-vdb that is well struck with no spots and has very nice eye appeal, graded MS65 in my hands. It has a lot going for it, but it does have a minor planchet defect on the rim at 4:00, on the reverse. Not large, buts its there. Shold this be a concern for me in MS65

If it's bothering you enough to ask about it then I think you are trying to convince yourself about it. Go with your gut on it.

YES!!! Because you asked the question.

Theoretically, planchet defects do not detract from the grade BUT they may detract from the eye appeal of the coin and be valued accordingly.

If tiny, peripheral and on the reverse, I wouldn't worry about it if the rest is "all there". As noted above, however, the fact that it bothers you might indicate you should pass on it. O/W, it's all you will see once you own it!
