this issue is one you can break your habit with
Thanks. You can be my sponsor.
I`ll let you know Aug. 20th.
This sucker, I mean collector, is buying one. Even though I tell myself I'm sick privy marks, I can't break the habit. I clearly need therapy.
@MsMorrisine can be our sponsor. 😀
you have urges that have turned to compulsions
urge yourself to think about the national and collector importance of a laser
But is it a complete set without one? I feel myself slipping.
I need a boost. 😂
Of course, the resale price is likely to be higher than the mint issue price.

if you have a 95-W then this means you are completing a set. otherwise you are feeding a compulsion. stay thirsty my friends
One down, three to go.
Throw a coin enough times, and suppose one day it lands on its edge.
Because...?
All comments reflect the opinion of the author, evn when irrefutably accurate.
Because if the Army privy is any indicator, the demand exceeds the supply.

U.S. MINT PRESS RELEASE
2025 Laser Engraved American Eagle One Ounce Silver Proof Coin Available on August 20
WASHINGTON, Aug. 13, 2025 – The United States Mint (Mint) will begin accepting orders for the 2025 Laser Engraved American Eagle One Ounce Silver Proof Coin on Wednesday, August 20 at noon (EDT). This product is the first American Eagle Silver Proof Coin minted using laser-engraved dies.
Struck at the Mint facility at West Point, these Silver Eagles are minted using laser-engraved master dies, allowing for more detailed designs and improving the quality of finished coins. The coin includes a special laser-engraved privy mark. Production is limited to 100,000 coins, and orders are limited to one coin per household
Yup probably, even though I ALWAYS say no before the release date. But FOMO always gets me in the end. At this point, the ridiculous prices the mint charges only angers me, doesn't stop me.
I'm back! Or was I here all the time ? Any way we will see if this coin can sell as well and sell out like the Army version. I will probably buy this one and Navy and Marines. Need an even number to leave for the two grand kids. It will be pre determined who gets what.
Should be no problem getting one if you want it.
Ha!! Not $25!

omg, the fdoi must sell more than i thought
I’m staring at the mint website trying to find what makes this special. I understand the Army/Navy/Marines due to patriotism, service, etc.
For the laser privy can anyone offer an explanation? No jokes or snide comments- why is this unique? Engraving innovation?
Thanks in advance for any insight
It is unique because it is a joke from Mint.
It marks a new era in the production of coins.

For what it is worth the Mint press release said this
“This product is the first American Eagle Silver Proof Coin minted using laser-engraved dies.”
Honestly? Nothing other than the privy.
People like limited editions. 100K is relatively low for a proof ASE.
So they are now milking the cow dry with multiple 100K limited editions of the same coin in the same year. At some point people will get tired and move on, as they apparently already have with the 3 versions of Morgan and Peace Dollars every year now.
Maybe patriotism keeps interest in all three military privies strong. Maybe not.
Maybe people don't chase this because it really makes no sense, and is a blatant money grab. Maybe they do, because 100K is 100K, and they have to have everything.
TBD, but that's the insight. You're not missing anything by failing to understand it. It makes no sense beyond the Mint doing its best to create maximum interest in $105 per ounce silver.
I'm in for one.
Wondering the exact same thing!
save yourself! i know you can resist!
Unfortunately, I can't resist. I was going to pass. But, I just can't.
Hi my name is Hattrick and I’m an addict.
I had been Mint coin free for 42 months
When the Army Privy pulled me back in.
I’m in for all 4 privy coins
Pinehurst sent buying email but no price shown on website. Says COMMING SOON
They won’t get mine. 😎
Which only means, like the rest of us, they are waiting to see how things shake out. Which begs the question, why send out the e-mail in the first place? To expect us to wait for a price if they turn out to be hot, and to ghost us if they don't?
I'm guessing, The Mint is late at the latest trend - they believe they're getting in on the Meme Coin/Token craze (i.e. Doge Coin, Shiba Inu) and figured a new designed special laser-engraved privy mark would get them in.
The kids today will buy anything that's different. If the Mint had hired a Tik-Tok influencer to promote this latest privy mark coin, this could have been a much bigger deal.
Oh well, there are buyers out there paying $175 for this coin (and covering shipping)...so might as well jump in and get some extra spending money for the next coin purchase.

Why? just another way to game the public. Waiting for the empty slab with PRE RELEASE PR?? label .
The waiting room is already up.
I’m in. Does that make me a bad person? 😳😂
Im not in
God comes first in everything I do. I’m dedicated to serving Him with my whole life. Coin collecting is just a hobby—but even in that, I seek to honor Him. ✝️
In the waiting room
So odd... Waiting time 22 min, then 13, then 15....
No idea why it bounces around and even gets longer once you're in. Once in, should hold your place in line.
Of course, these wll be availabe like the Armys for a long time in small batches each day....
Just got 2...
Two? Totally different accounts, addresses, etc?
The ATS link doesn't appear to be working. I get page not found with product code 25EALE. Anyone else able to see it?

I've got on the wait list from the second it started. Guess just luck where folks are placed on the list when it initially opens.
got one
Man, you guys are lucky. Zero movement in wait for me. I've been on since the first second. I've got to get off my phone. Frusturating.
easy, less then a minute, now wait about 4 weeks to sell out
72,400 left
Was on the page…then it didn’t refresh at 1200 ET…so after two minutes I refreshed…and went back to the waiting room….with time jumping to 37 minutes, then one minute, then back to 33 minutes, to 20 minutes, back to 30 minutes….. Something seems strange……
I think it bounces around because it's based on an estimate determined by how quickly people log out once they are in. So your estimate can bounce up or down, not because people are cutting in front of you in the virtual queue, but because the average person at any given point in time is lingering longer than they estimated the last time they updated your front page. In addition, of course, to the line simply moving. That's my understanding, in any case.
In any event, with 100K, and the last ones being readily available for more than a month due to aggressive ineligible order purging on the part of the Mint, I'm willing to bet all who want one here will be able to obtain one. If not today, in the days and weeks ahead.
