This is perhaps the only time I’ve owned a key date coin that was ALSO nice enough to serve as a Type set example.

Nothing special here. Just decided to put a circulated set together years ago. No need to see the entire album. They all look about the same. Got the vast majority of them over the years for just over melt.

I just finished putting together a set of proof walkers. Was fun and the coins aren't that expensive (except the '36). I now need to work on a few of the images.

It’s one of only 3 I have left from my Early Walker Registry set. The others are a 1919-D & 1921-D, both PCGS MS64.

I have been a dealer in major mint errors, die trials, patterns, and unique coins for 50 years.
Many of my purchases came from estates, collections, dealers, collectors and auctions. Over the years I have had my share of unique numismatic discoveries as well, like this one:
Purchased from a well known West Coast dealer 20 years ago. I overpaid for it so badly that the market has only recently caught up and that’s not adjusting for inflation.
Oh well, I really like the Coin!

In 1994, the very first slabbed coin I purchased after I rejoined collecting was a 1936 PR64 Walker. I always wanted one as a kid and once I was older I could finally afford to buy one. That coin made me happy. Indeed, it still does. Because I do not sell my coins, I still have it but unfortunately I do not have a photo of it.
Sometimes TrueViews are much prettier than the actual coin and sometimes, especially recently ... well, let me just say they do not do justice to the actual coin. I think the coin pictured below, graded PR67, in much nicer in hand than in the photo.
On the other hand, I think the TrueView below is a good representation of what the coin looks like in hand. Its grade is PR67+.
A half dime and CC dollar I splurged on when I restarted my collecting 20 years ago. I don't collect either series except for $30 Morgan and Peace dollars for stacking.

I picked up my new CAC walker from the PO Box today. Then I cracked the CAC for my Stacks album. Still need a few more circulated ones for the first few pages, the rest are filled with BU’s with no holes past 1938. The album is all the walkers, Franklins and the first few Kennedy’s. It wasn’t easy getting that coin out of its CAC holder.

Surprisingly, the coin shop I used to frequent back in the early 2000’s, left a lot of decent material in for their customers to find.(And I did). I found a half roll of 1909 Indian cents, choice bu Franklins, 1913’s, 1914’s, 1915’s and 1931-s Buffalo nickels, AU Washington quarters from the 30’s and better date walkers all the way up to unc. Those were the best days!
