How does PSA decide the value for something that doesn't exist?

I inherited a paper bag of baseball cards years ago. I finally decided to pull them out and look them over. Inside was something I could not find any examples of, a 1962 Topps stamp but an error(there are around 50 early Topps cards in this collection). Four half printed faces on one stamp sheet/card. I've posted on reddit, x, search ebay for completed auctions, searched the web, used AI and cannot find a single stamp like this. I'm hopping it's worth bagillions since it seems to be very rare but then again with my luck it might be worth $2.
Is there a way to get a guestimate on value to see if it's worth sending to PSA to get authenticated? The 4 faces on this stamp are Bill Monbouquette, Don Hoak, Lou Burdette, Willie Mays named from top left to bottom right.
Have a look and tell me what you think. Is there a phone number I can call or a person I can talk to get some info on this?

I wouldn't hold your breath on it because it looks like some stamps that may have had some value in outstanding condition. But someone appears to have used a special brand of jagged scissors to cut them up. They may have been issued that way but doubt it because there is not much eye appeal with a stamp cut in half with an odd pattern.

Maybe like a 7th year Mays card where someone cut off the corners and wrote words on the front on and crayoned the back. There may be nothing like it and its a 1 of 1 but dont know if that makes it attractive and collectible.

  • Here's an original Mays stamp that came with the collection, you can find them on ebay, this one is in bad shape and has no real value.

It’s quite simply a miscut and worth very little except perhaps to a collector who’s into such things. The $2 estimate might be slightly low but not by much.

    Farewell Ryno.

Bummer, not finding any miscuts out there I had high hopes.

I have a few like that. And some properly cut. Topps wasn’t overly cautious on production of inserted stuff, so there’s a fairly good chance if you have an originally owned collection of cards from the 60s, it will contain some miscuts. There’s bunches of Topps failures all over eBay with high price tags which have been placed by sellers hoping to find a sucker. Having half of Willie Mays noggin on yours at least makes it interesting.

    Farewell Ryno.

OMG it's the elusive long rumored to have existed Eyes of Willie Mays variant! notfastenougheither, don't let anyone here tell you it's "worthless", quit yer job man you are set for life! There are Advanced collectors who will pay 7-8 figures for that in any condition! >:)

Personally I like the full stamp you showed better than the miscut one
