OGH Morgan

At this juncture, I’m just trying to buy what I like without having to spend a fortune. I like Morgan silver dollars, because they are big, heavy and historic. The series is so vast as you can spend anything from $100 all the way up to $1 million. There is something for everyone and plenty of choices. If you’re not careful, you may just end up with a box of twenty, as I did. I always try to pick up a OGH, when I can, and this one looks like a good one to me. It’s a little bit of a tougher common date from New Orleans. It is also my great grandmother’s birth year. Thank you and enjoy.

Wow, just crickets but for one person? Here is a slab shot with the grade.. I looked at it with my loupe under a halogen, and the cheeks are extremely clean, even when tilted at an angle. It’s an easy 65 but I’ll never crack it on my watch. Gold bean material for sure. It looks considerably better than the ‘84 cc that I posted earlier and that was a nice Coin, too. It’s a 3.1 OGH made from 1993 to 1998.. The ‘84 cc was a 3.0. Made from 1990 to 1993.

Sorry, your OP didn't indicate it was a GTG. It looks nice but the photos are a little washed out so I have to hesitate to comment. It's a very nice 64, I don't know if it would be a 65 or gold bean.

You have not set the record. I've seen threads with no replies.
As for the coin, that's a nice looking Morgan and the OGH is an added bonus.
Sorry, WF, been busy trying to keep up with the lord m. threads lol!
Yes, that’s a nice pickup, and I agree that it should probably be in a 65 holder.
One of my large cent friends messaged me the other day about a post he made that I recall got 0 responses. It seems to be the way things are going. Unless there’s drama of some sort to argue about, or something truly special, few care about posts from the peripheral players. I understand, it’s human nature in the age of information overload. I got tired of bumping my own threads with show reports, NEWPS, etc to generate some commentary, so I’m done.
I like it...that would fit in my collection just fine...CC
@Walkerguy21D Thanks.. People here are always very responsive to my threads, so that’s why I was a little surprised. It doesn’t bother me, at all, as I know sometimes things get missed or people get sidetracked. I just wanted to bump it in case people missed it.
I think what happened was that I posted it prematurely and then deleted the content and left it that way overnight. By the time I updated it again the next morning most people had already seen it and moved on. So, it was really my own fault.
This one came to me in a new purchases email and I bought it 12 minutes after it was posted, as I knew it wouldn’t last long. Wasn’t looking for it, but just kind of fell into it. Glad I did.
It was a nice little cherry pick with a vintage holder as a bonus. The attrition rate for these old holders grows every day.
You can have so much fun with Morgans and you really get a lot of bang for your buck. I’ll take something like this over a silver eagle any day. Even though the silver eagle has the Walker design.

To be fair, the OP lacks a "call to action." It didn't pose a question or make a controversial statement. It's Forum posting 101 that if you want a response you need to prompt the reader for a response.

Im just curious, what's wrong with a box of 20?
Im currently working on one. Its not full of high end coins. Mostly 65-66 common coins.

Absolutely nothing. I said that in a lighthearted humorous sort of way. It’s like saying: ‘if you’re not careful, you might learn something’. Having a box of 20 is great! 👍
