@SanctionII, as you are well aware of the cameo aspects of these raw proof sets, is your real question, I believe the 3 silver proof coins have a shot at cameo, what is your opinion and do you agree with me that these three have a shot? I would say yes, there is a possibility at cameo designation. The 3 silvers look like they could cameo, IMO Zack.

Just how does a single coin, (the nickel) turn like that? And yes, the quarter is quite stunning.

Lighting in pictures can make many appear more frosted than they are. Do you have them in hand? You have more recent experience with CAM and DCAMs

I think the quarter might pull CAM. Others look like just misses to me.

My opinion is that they look nice in the holder as is.

Well, stepping out just a bit but looks to me like Cam, DC, Cam. Light reflecting on dime obverse may just be a bit deceiving.

The appearance of the coins in the photos is of lower quality than they appear in hand. All five coins are very similar in appearance.

Whoever assembled this proof set has an eye for quality.

Is the nickel rotated 270 degrees or 90?

FWIW this type of proof set is easily opened and closed - those are basically plastic screws holding it together. It is not sealed in any way.

The half and qtr might clean up for a cam.

My thoughts. Dunno if they'd CAM or not, but they look good and frosty, albeit with what looks like a slight bit of haze on the half that could be dipped off? Maybe? Dunno if I'd try that or not, however.

And check the cent if you purchase it for the DDO variety.

It is definitely a premium set, regardless if they make CAM or not.

Those look nothing like the images you posted in the first pictures. Somewhat cameo in appearance, but the way the light reflects off the coin can change its appearance. So now I don’t know.

All 5 coins from the 1951 proof set have now been sent to our host for grading.

    Stay tuned for grade results.

P.S. The nickel is not struck from rotated dies. The photos of the coins in the Capital Holder show that the nickel somehow rotated in the holder between photographs (many times a coin will rotate in a Capital Holder if the hole is slightly larger than the coin).

P.S.S. The cent is not the DDO variety.

The 1951 cent and 1951 nickel were delivered to PCGS on 7-28-2025. They were received on 7-30-2025. Today the two coins are in Encapsulation and are being imaged.

    Very fast turn around. B)

    FlyingAl.

The earlier submission of coins from the OGP 1950 proof sets I picked up in June, 2025 are at our host, currently in Grading. I expect that in the next two-three weeks the coins will move to Encapsulation.

I am looking forward to those grade results.

    Really nice looking PF Set.

I would want to get the rest of the coins graded.

    Then go from there.

Wow, 1951 is such a tough year for cameos - and to make two pieces is an accomplishment. Congrats.

Did you conserve the coins? Either with acetone, MS70, or e-z-est? Just to remove any surface contamination/haze that might be there.

Don't know if it is maybe the difference in copper content, but I love the look of a Copper CAM/DCAM versus the Zinc CAMS/DCAMS.

Nice results for those 2, curious to see what the silver gets.

The cent and nickel were delivered to me today. They both look much better in hand than they do in the Trueview photos (and better than they look in these new cell phone photos).

The three silver coins will likely have grades post by the end of this month or early September.

Here are cell phone photos of the three silver coins.

Congrats, I don't know about the '51 nickels, but cameo 1951 cents are tough.
