Military trade token Brooklyn NY for 5 cents - NY30a

Hello!

I have a vintage 5 Cent military trade token for "Post Exchange Brooklyn N.Y.". The tokencatalogue associates it with "NY30a". I think this is a reference to a Cunningham catalogue entry. I'm unable to find a clear online reference with more information on my token and where/how it was used. I do find a Fort Hamilton Post Exchange in Brooklyn, but no firm connection. I see the token in a couple ebay and worthpoint auctions. Is there an online reference that can help provide more info on NY30a?

Thanks!

There is no other firm information given in the Cunningham catalog or elsewhere on this series of tokens (10c & 50c denominations are also listed in the catalog and a 25c is also known). Even the exact location of use is not known - per Cunningham "During WW1 there were no less that 84 distinct installations in the New York City area. It is thought that this post is related to the General Supply Ordnance Depot, Reserve, Governors Island or the ordnance at Raritan."

It is speculated that the initials might be for Ordnance Depot & Repair Depot but again, that is just speculation. The three tokens are listed in the catalog with a $100 value each but that number is way too high based on eBay, Worthpoint and private sale results over the past few years. Quite a few mid-range military tokens have seen lackluster results recently.
