Lesson learned about moderns.... 2024 $1 Flowing Hair High Relief Au 230th Anniversary

I have not been a long-time collector of modern coins. It was by chance that my wife and I were on vacation in Washington, DC when the 2024 $1 Flowing Hair High Relief Au 230th Anniversary coin/medal went on sale at the US Mint store. We were there the previous day as well and I picked up a few modern coins and learned about the release scheduled for the next day. Needless to say, I could not leave without buying the coin. I did not submit the coin for grading to PCGS until recently as I was completely unaware of the requirements for First Day of issue or other designations. I thought the receipt would be the evidence of purchase on the day of release. I was informed later that the receipt would not be enough and that the coin had to be submitted within 30 days to qualify. Lesson learned. The coin is on the way back and should be here tomorrow. Anyway, the coin was graded PR70DCAM, 1 of 2056 to achieve this grade. Someone on these boards indicated this may be a stock photo. Either way, it came out nice.

Very nice coin. Unfortunate that the coin did not receive the label.
God comes first in everything I do. I’m dedicated to serving Him with my whole life. Coin collecting is just a hobby—but even in that, I seek to honor Him. ✝️

Great, I was hoping not.
Congrats on your grade and DC U.S.Mint Store purchase.
I got mine at the Baltimore Convention Center where the Mint Store was also selling this coin.
I too got a 70, but so did 2,056 other PCGS submitters.
edited to add: Here's mine.
