I very much fit the "numisnerd" description and gave these a once-over twice. The second pic is softer in focus and, as noted, differently lit.
But what changed for me is the cool die crack details! The second pic kinda shows the DC from neck thru stars 1 thru 4. But it almost completely masks the DCs between stars 9-10 and 12-13. That kind of detail is what I really like to geek out on, and a soft-focus glamour shot, while smoothing out some of the bagginess, hides important details.

light source for pic and green CAC sticker
Correct. I should not have bumped the lights when I put that sticker on it.

I'm confused by the question. Is there something other than the CAC sticker?
Lighting makes a difference.
Ugh. My attempt at humor. Tough crowd this morning...

Lol.
I went 2 for four last week at CAC. This one got the green and a proof Merc I posted earlier got the gold.
My other two subs did not make the cut.

The second Pic looks better to me, jmo
Very attractive, and to me the first pic (coin only) looks nicer. Of course the green bean adds to the second pic.
Coingratulations on the bean! Gorgeous toning.

Some things should NOT be glamorized.
