    @perkdog

it was sad on many fronts. first off, it made for an anticlimactic Game 7 of the NBA Finals. but Haliburton was also showing signs of having a legendary performance. he only played 7 minutes, but had already hit three 3s. it was going to be a dogfight if he continued to play like that. without him, the Pacers were bringing a knife to a gunfight.

i'm sorry about your bet as well -- i honestly believe you had a real shot of getting paid off if he hadn't gotten hurt.

Not an exact comparison, but it reminded me for some reason of a wager I once made at the track. I hate to say it, a large wager.

Heavy favorite, couldn't lose. But right at the break, it's called "dumping" the jockey, when a horse intentionally throws the jockey because for whatever reason it doesn't want to run.

In a flash my money is gone. And what's aggravating is the stewards do like a 5 minute review of the event, playing it over and over again, just to irritate me, as I knew looking at the review the first time, the horse wasn't going to be scratched.

After the Haliburton demise, commenced with the off switch. Knew where this outcome would wind up.
I only had a $5 bill on the series to win $30. Sorry for my fellow comrades for their loss. But the odds board rises tomorrow with the Sun. So there is that.

All my golf plays wound up in the bunker(s). Felt bad for Fleetwood. He is now 0-42 in top 10's without a PGA win. Class move by Henley to call a penalty stroke on himself without a witness to it. Would of liked to seen his class act rewarded with a win.
    Next up Rocket Mortgage.

You switched from your usual successful first 5 innings, to first 7 innings, and didn't hit any. Perhaps you weren't too sure about these games, so you changed it to the first 7 innings. In hindsight, probably better off just passing on these games.

I've never made a mistake such as this. Oh I almost forgot, only about 10,000 times. LOL

Honestly I got greedy and went for the bigger money so I knew the risk going in I figured I'd profit if I hit just one of them but as you can see I went 0 for 4 with 4k's lol.

I just googled it and saw where Lukas had a MRSA blood infection. I never heard of it before. No sense discussing it here. Suffice to say even at a much younger age than when he passed, it's a brutal illness. I'm guessing doctors may have told him that his situation was hopeless, and rather than go thru perhaps more painful treatment for a little extra time, he decided to call it a day. 🐴

Baseball has been brutal since Thursday, prolly lost about $250 on multiple $10 and $20 bets,, didn't want to list all of them since they are all. losses and no need to clutter up a full page of losing bets so I'm verbally reporting them lol

I did smash the casino Friday night on a drunken slot machine binge, yes a drunken slot machine binge lol

For some reason I felt like doing the slots and hit multiple times for a a hundred here and two hundred there, I'd hit a profit and would force myself to get up. and find another machine or go grab a beer, my buddy ended up. hitting for about $1100 on ultimate Texas hold em, and I hit for about $850,I spent Saturday hungover but it was worth it lol

Slots are completely ridiculous to take seriously, I been watching some YouTube videos on slot players who live play during the video, and in a funny way it gives you a little sense of enjoyment watching it stress free but it did put me in the mood for slots that's why I played lol

I've read where the slots closest to the casino entrance, and in the most visible areas of the casino, have more favorable payouts than the ones kind of hidden from view. Of course the casino wants the folks to see the winning slot players. I've also read where the slots at the end of a slot aisle towards the tables area, are the best to play for that reason - highest payouts.

Around a few weeks ago, I was watching on Youtube an interview with Chip Reese. Frankly, if I had ever elevated to nosebleed stakes poker, he would have been the player I would have most feared. Chip has passed since that interview, which I think was around ten years ago. In my opinion, he's the greatest poker player of all time. Yes, better than Ungar, Doyle, Ivey, Negreanu, etc,

I've only ever fully read one book on "How to Win at Gambling" genre, and that was Super System by Doyle. The rest of those books are pure garbage for various reasons which I don't care to discuss.

Anyway I only brought this up, because in the interview, Chip stated that the two things he ever had the most success with in his life, was poker and wagering on MLB.

Poker, I completely understand. While the MLB comment totally surprised me. I haven't googled it yet, but when I'm in the mood, I'm hoping he elaborated on his MLB success. Especially because handicapping MLB, to me, seems like trying to hold water in a sieve.

If I find anything, I'll post it here.
