If Cooper Flagg can play at an NBA level I doubt that other players in the league will care about his skin color.
If non white NBA players (regardless of where they were born and raised) have a problem with white players, why are Luka, Jokic and numerous other white players not being treated in same way that WNBA players are treating Clark?
One thing that may make things better for Clark is to have her lose her temper and put a beat down on the next WNBA player that mugs her.
I dont think Flagg will get the same treatment as Clark. The NBA has stars and Flagg wont be the biggest name as long as Lebron is still around no matter what he does. Theres still Jokic Luka etc.
For the WNBA theres basically just Clark. Her impact is undeniable in terms of views and her sponsorships which is one reason why shes being targeted as much as she has. The level of national interest is so much lower for the other players including Reese (who is even getting criticized now for her inability to shoot) thats just not a situation that exists in the NBA

Well, for one thing, you don't want to piss off Jokic!

Morris is like 6 foot 9 Jokic is basically the same size as him. The difference between the two is that when they both bumped each other (which is all it was both ways) Jokic didnt flop and Morris did acting like he had just gotten shot trying to get Jokic thrown out. This happens all the time in soccer and its been an issue in the NBA for years that has largely been rewarded by the refs
Just look at the finals this year where the OKC guy would fall over if someone basically sneezed in his direction. Meanwhile baseball players get hit in the back by 100+ MPH pitches and go to first, NFL players take hits 100 times harder and keep playing, hockey players take pucks to the face and stay in the game etc.
Basketball has a flopping problem—not just because players do it, but because the system encourages and rewards it. Until there are real-time penalties (like technicals or in-game reviews) and cultural shifts that discourage it, players will keep doing what works—even if it looks ridiculous compared to other sports. Don’t blame the players… blame the fans. Players are doing it right by working within the system to maximize their team’s chance of winning.
In November 2021, Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets shoved Markieff Morris of the Miami Heat from behind after Morris fouled him, resulting in a neck injury for Morris. Morris was diagnosed with whiplash and missed 58 games. Jokic was ejected from the game, fined $50,000, and suspended for one game. Morris later described the shove as a "sucker shot".
I'm not sure how much an old white guys opinion makes but..........

Morris thought he was going to get a free cheap shot on him,, he targeted Jokic the way I see it and then ran away, ofcourse Jokic was going to go after him.
I got no sympathy for Morris, both were cheap shots and they are even.
Morris suffered a neck injury (whiplash) and missed 58 games as a result of what happened
some of you guys are so cute with your perceptions
It's unfortunate that he suffered that injury but that's the FO part of FAFO.
couldn't care less about FO, FAFO, FIFO, or LIFO
my point of contention has been the special individual(s) who came to the brilliant conclusion that Morris' reaction to being blasted in the back by a gargantuan human being was a fabricated one
missing 2/3 of a season should have dispelled that genius notion, but it probably didn't

Some here may have watched the movie "The Fortune Cookie" far too many times.
"CBS cameraman Harold "Harry" Hinkle is injured when (fictional) football player Luther "Boom Boom" Jackson of the Cleveland Browns runs into him during a home game at Municipal Stadium. Harry's injuries are minor, but his conniving lawyer brother-in-law, William H. "Whiplash Willie" Gingrich, convinces him to pretend that his leg and hand have been partially paralyzed so that they can receive a huge indemnity from the insurance company.[4] Initially opposed, Harry goes along with the scheme after his ex-wife, Sandy, with whom he is still in love, phones to ask about his condition."

And last time I checked you don't even have to fight to get injured!

I think some here should get together and start their own women's bare knuckles fight league. You might make yourselves a small fortune.
If you could sign Caitlin and Angel Reese to a match, pay per view, you might become instant millionaires.
That actually does exist, just no one rwatches lol.
For hockey Patrick Roy is always the one I always think of of a superstar that coaches just couldnt keep out of fights.
Lindros too where his career would have been way better if he wasnt getting concussions all the time.

One of the worst cheap shots I've ever seen.

I agree. Morris was way out of line.
I'm half-kidding. What Jokic did was not a cheap shot by any means. Morris started something and turned his back. Shouldn't have done that.
Great acting skills soccer style

i cant imagine carrying on like that after that type of shove.
what a baby
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
just want to remind you guys that Jokic is almost 7 ft & 3 bills
that was no garden-variety running start shoulder unleashing
look how far Morris flew
if he wasn't hurt, conventional wisdom says he's getting to his feet and doing whatever he could to get to Jokic
guarantee you that's what i would have done. unless my back was almost broken, that is.
you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet
So what if it was a cheap shot? Sent a message didn't it???????

In my opinion, Jokic got off way too easy.

I was only commenting on flopping in general. I don’t even watch basketball because it’s too violent for me. Pickleball or nothing.
Caitlin Clark's coach suggests star offered to pay fine for technical foul over yelling at WNBA officials
When has that ever happened? A player paying a fine for the coach? LOL
I just watched that Jokic, Morris video

Probably hurt themselves while flopping. Stay off the hardwood Denise.
Gotcha. Yeah, he definitely wasn't faking.

Is 167 times too many? That’s my favorite movie. When Sandy can’t find her contact lens. Had. Me. Rollin’.
